Do "Sex & The City" Girls Really Exist?

I always wondered that myself. fiction or fact. It almost makes me feel better (how sad) that the "real" girls of satc may not exist.

Also, doesn't Carrie have a few 'influential' friends? She always went out all the time, and knew a lot of designers/other socialites, who probably gave her a few things now & then. I remember when she went to a store with her boyfriend, Berger, to buy him this red dress shirt, and knew the designer personally (can't for the life of me remember the name, though...). And she was given a Valentino dress by another boyfriend who knew the designer.

she went to the Prada store - she didn't know the designer, she was just close with the SA. And the other time it was an ODLR dress, and her boyfriend was supposed to be wealthy.

I think the fantasy makes it all the more desired. Who cares?

However, Lipstick Jungle is a re-doing of SATC which is way more believable.

I think there was ONE time I saw Carrie re-wear the same item. It was a pink mini skirt with a white frill at the back. I think I saw it in one episode after she left Aidan in the country to have dinner with Big and she was walking down the street when she saw a rat, and the second time I thought I saw it was when she was having drinks with Samantha after Aidan proposed to her.

Well she wore her 'Carrie coat' a lot! The fur one... It also made an appearance in the movie, which made me smile because it was so 'her'
