Do You Wear Band T-Shirts?

Never... I hate the patronizing small talk that can ensue: "Who are they? Oh, that's nice..."

I totally despise little teeny boppers who wear Siouxsie and the Banshees tshirts and they don't even know who they are.
And because I don't want to befriend a bunch of teeny boppers, sadly...

Friend of mine has a hoodie where it says 'Keith who??' on the front, and 'Keith f***ing Richards, thats who!' On the back. I Like :D
(maybe a bit random to post in this thread.. wellwell)

I don't wear any, simply because my tastes in music change like the weather. I'd be wearing a new one every week!

to bed, around the house, and occasionally when im feeling lazy (they look fine under leather bombers!!)

I only buy them from concerts where I've seen the bands, and even then I only wear them for bed. Oasis is my fave one <3

My mom went to a concert in the 80's, it was Bowie's.
Since it doesn't fit her anymore, she gave to me.
A real piece of vintage :D
But I don't think I would wear a tee of a very known band,
I'd just feel weird. The underground groups are cooler. ^^

I don't. I feel like people wear band tees a lot to 'show off' their great taste and whatnot.. I don't know. I don't want to be one of those people. It has been done to death. Band t-shirts can be fun, of course, when worn by people who don't think of things in terms of fashion or sub-culture.. Say for instance, a man in his 50's wearing a Patti Smith shirt.. that's authentic.

I wear my dads Bahaus t shirt. It is the softest most comfortable top ever!!! I made sure I listened to the band first and I wouldn't have worn it outside the house if I hadn't liked the music either. But I do so I did.

totally agree to this!
i've never spent money on a band-shirt. but i like wearing my dad's old stones' shirts to bed ^_^

I love them. I only have three though, and I have seen each band in concert...does that count? I personally love them when they are worn in.

I have an old Grateful dead one that I love. I love the grateful dead, and spent three years following them all over the country.
An old lynard skynard one, because it reminds me of my dad.
And a megadeath one because I am totally a head banger at heart.

^ It's great to wear ones because they have a special meaning..

My Nirvana t-shirt

Joy Division hoodie

Sex Pistols t-shirt (inherited from my brother ^_^)

I have a few I really love, but I agree the more worn in the better. I love looking for them on ebay..

have this one but it's in actual vintage condition:

also one with The Lemonheads, and one amazing faded black tee with Robert Smith on the front in NEON  but I can't find it..

oh, and a Jesus & Mary Chain tee in bright yellow.. can't find it either though. GR!

My old band t shirts that I still have hold of are L7 smell the magic, and Neds Atomic Dustbin Not Sleeping Around....sadly all the rest got chucked by my mum if a religious fit of 'music is made by satan'. The only recent ones i've bought are Help She Cant Swim, The Unicorns, Crystal Castles, My Bloody Valentine (the BEST band t shirt, pure quality!), The Chap and Sebadoh. I love them all and got them either when the bands were playing for me, or I went to see them.

I wear my Parkway Drive one...

I have quite a few Blondie ones.
Currently lusting over the UO Prince one. yummmm

Oooh, I forgot, I have a range of prince t shirts from having gone to see him a stupid seven times when he played the o2 arena. They really are amazing quality....it's just a shame I accidently turned one pink....

Well I wear band shirts because I'm a genuine fan of some bands, not really has a fashion thing, but because I feel "proud" showing my love to them. My most treasured possession is Depeche Mode T-shirt from the 1990 World Violation Tour,my favourite band. It was a man's shirt and it used to be huge but now that it's so old and over washed, it turned into a nice shade of greyish blue(it used to be black) and it it fits better than ever because it shrank.

Everytime I go concerts of my favourite bands I buy a shirt, so I have a good collection althought I have to say, that besides a couple Depeche Mode ones, i do not wear most of them but I'm all for merchandize, the nicest one I bought lately was a grey Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds shirt with the lyrics of one of their songs printed on it.

I wear metal shirts, like black metal, but I add diy and I soften the look by wearing colour and I try so hard to not look like a metal girl.

I like band shirts when they say a little about the person who's wearing them. I think it's pointless to have a Beatles of Pink Floyd shirt, because they're so ubiquitous and i mean, who doesn't like the Beatles?
