pedersen89: I would wear the blazer with a black shirt (open on the last button, you know.. My english is not that good, hard to explain), no tie (or a 4mm silver/black-striped tie), some tight, black pants (perhaps a little shiny?) or black skinny-jeans. And some pointy dress-shoes.

I'm having a girls night out this weekend and I want to wear my new dress, but not really sure what style shoes would go with it. I've taken a pic of a couple of options....what do you think?

If its pretty chilly I'll wear it over skinny jeans....but then what shoes do I wear with those?

i wore this yesterday and someone said the top doesnt work with the wide legged pants... actualy i personally thot it worked ok.i was told that this top or look goes better with slimmer cut pants/.bottom!!(p.s. i HATE slim cut trousers. its gotta be wide legged or cuffed for me, slim leg trousers look too prissy on me)

i think the shirt and wide pants are just fine...
i just think that those pants are a bit big for you...
i'd like them to be more fitted around the hips and then get wider in the leg...they would also look good with a wide cuff...imo...


*i would also cut off the excess length on the belt that is just hanging there...

What was this person smoking? I think the top is perfect for wide-legged pants, but agree with softgrey, would like to see them fit perfectly at the top (tailor), and then get wide. I think you could go a lot wider actually with that top

I need help. I like the skinny jean look, but I think it probably looks ridiculous on me and legs are not skinny enough to pull it off. I need some reassurance. Would I be an idiot to consider going out in public wearing these? Has this trend already passed?

Moo you look great! If you're worried about wearing skinnies though, I'd put them with a slightly longer top that skims over your hips, thats what I do and it makes me feel a bit more streamlined.

I'm guessing you want proper answers and not for us to lie or whatever. I think they actually look okay on you, but they are not very flattering for your legs. You could find much better jeans that will actually do something for you. But other than that, they look fine. If you like them and you think they look okay, thats all that matters

mooshees, don't be scared, you by no means look ridiculous! Though it is true there are probably pants that are more flattering, skinny jeans are rarely the very best cut on anyone. If you want to wear this trend, you most definitely can.

Chic outfit for celebrating my final exam at school -> Help

Hi people,

After getting some bad critics on my outfit in an german "fashion" board i try posting my outfit here for getting some serious comments from people that really have a clue of fashion and clothes.

Okay, where do i want to wear it?

In Germany after having finished the school pupils go to a big celebration (like in america i think?) and celebrate the end of schooltime. Many male pupils wear suits in this situation but i think wearing a suit is a bit boring and at such a big event it is perfectly fine to be a bit dressed up and look extravagant, because all the time in school my style was different to the other pupils (mostly emos, punks or hiphop-listeners with large baggy and so on.. you know it ) so i think my outfit should also be extravagant at the end of the time...

i hope this thread fits in here so i show you the pics and it would be very nice if you could tell me what you think about it and if your would change the throusers to some more formal throusers.

Also a few questions:
- what shoes would you choose
- would you change the tie
- would you perhaps add some accessoirs? if yes, what?

Or do you think i should put away this outfit and wear a more serious, formal outfit, for example a black suit?
