Does This Work? Get Fashion Feedback Here.

I bought this jacket, it´s not really my style but I really liked it and was on sale... I´m looking for inspiration in recent collections, I´m thinking Celine but what other collections would you guys recommend? I´m trying to figure out how to wear it...

stella mccartney had a similar jacket in her 2005 H&M collection. it was a few shades lighter than yours. i dont remember what she paired it with. maybe wide leg wool pants.

^Thanks! I like it styled like this for (my) upcoming winter :)

now that it´s summer here I was thinking of pairing it with this pant (the hue is toned down irl) that I have, or is it too much pink?

I´m also thinking of wearing it with black capri pants and black patent leather brogues, to get a Balenciaga SS2011 vibe. What do you guys think?

There's a couple of dresses on ASOS that I wanna buy but I've never bought midi dresses before. I'm not one for wearing dresses without any pants or jeans so just wondering if they would look with skinny jeans or straight legged trousers?

^dresses with pants are very 90s and the 90s are back :)
but maybe midis are too long to look good with pants, maybe leggins? maybe get a midi and shorten the lenght? I guess it all depends of your height...

I'm 5'1 so I'm thinking its gonna be longer than usual.
Just shortening the length is an option.

^I think a midi it´s gonna be too long, yeah... probably it´ll reach below the knee and with pants underneath it can make you look shorter.

going back to my jacket (sorry), I´m eyeing this Celine wannabe pant :)

I'm wondering if this second-hand dress I bought is too costumey or if I can make it work. I'm considering modifying the sleeves. Any suggestions on styling and/or modifications?

i think some delicate sleeves , half sleeves off the shoulder will be perfect :)

shutterbug, I love it as it is and like you wear it off the shoulder.

shutterbug, i think you should leave it as it is. i think its awesome!

Thank you all for your input. It's essentially an 80s prom dress but I didn't want to give off that vibe. I'm relieved to read that others see something else in it too :)

I really like the striped skirt, I think its a pretty dress. If you don't want to give off an 80's vibe I say get rid of the puff sleeve for maybe something sleeker. For me, the sleeves are the only thing that give away what era of fashion it's from. I do like that it is off the shoulder though. Good luck, I think you scored an awesome dress!

i bought this on the outnet at a great price...but i thought it looks a little big on me. what do you think?
sorry for the bad quality photos...

I think it would look better with a pair of shoes in another colour :)

i think a different color would be better as well. :flower:
