faust said:Saw this in person - most of it left me cold, but there were couple of embroidered shirts that were absolutely stunning. There was a white shirt with macrame going down on both sides of the front - I firmly believe Purechris would sell his sould to the devil for it.

An oldie, but a goodie. I bought a small handful of stuff from this collection, all of which, I still wear today. The shirts came with what looks like foreign coins tied to the pockets..very nice touch. The trousers were as close to perfect as I've ever found.
Oh yes, mines lasted quite well. In fact, I have a pair of trousers from this collection that I've worn repeatedly while biking to and from work..and bicycles and designer clothes really don't mix well.Beautiful indeed, although I always find dries' clothes has an issue with quality, but it could be due to price points as well. Yours lasted well?

This collection was particularly memorable for me because when it arrived in stores, I was finally figuring out what does & does not work for me..a lot of trial & error there. I stayed away from the usual bold prints & colors, knowing I'd really only wear it a few times, and just bought "safe" pieces..nothing particularly flashy, just clean, wearable garments..
One of the shirts I loved from this collection was a white button-up w/ a 2 different green plaid patterns. The plaids had very slight differences, and made from a lot more patterns than used in your traditional button- up. From afar, you really couldn't see this, but when I wore it, it felt like a little secret between me & some guy from Belgium.
Double:
And, if I remember correctly, that red trench on Vincent Lacrocq was retailing for less than $1000. That was a steal by '06 standards.
