Dries presented by far the best S/S 2015 for men. And now, it's love at first sight for this collection-- and maybe to early to say, but it's definitely a strong collection again, even best of A/W 2015, for me.

He's really mastered melding east and west, reminding me of Gaultier when he was at his best. But Dries' designs are always grounded in reality, and not so surreal and larger-than-life, like Gaultier. The batik dsigns, and even the suggestion of a sarong, but in a very western, almost kilt-like shape, worn casually with a suit, very Gaultier, is proposed in such a casual, effortless and elegant gentlemanly manner. It's so Dries, he never let's the exoticism of his inspirations, overwhelm his romantic, easygoing signature.

The lightness, but still cozy and appropriately wintery, and right at home in the city. So great.

Thank you marc for the pics!

as if the last few seasons of his men's haven't stupendous enough...he has really been inspired with his men's lately love this. it feels like the dries of yore....when he did his schoolboy collection in 1999 or his rich textile laden stuff in the 90's.

I didn't expect DVN to top S/S 2015...and this doesn't top it but it's a damn good try. Such a meld of influences that shouldn't sit together; Eastern, sportswear, dressing gowns/nightwear but it works and it's really intriguing....a lot to still take in but really quite special again!

he really married the women's stuff to the men's stuff with this collection...
i could see most of this translated to womenswear and i'd wear it in a heartbeat...

the red coat has my name all over it...
even though it is shown here on the reverse side, i'm thinking it will look great both ways...

this is great...
it is always so impressive how comfortable dries is with men in skirts and how effortlessly he uses skirts...
this is a master class in that ...

just love love love...

* the choker necklaces are interesting, right?
reminds me of some sci fi movie/show where everyone wears the same electronic device...
what a good design for a tech product, imho...
something that you can wear every day with everything...
and it's unisex...
it's always there, but it's almost invisible because it just blends in so easily...
i'd love it if that were a wireless, voice controlled phone...
:innocent:

He successfully makes every single piece in his collection desirable. I love the richness, the carefree spirit in this collection. I also appreciate the cultural reflection when he managed it just enough, wearable and desirable(again).

Such a lovely collection, many great separates, such a cohesiveness. Like the dark blues very much. Great job Dries!

he has set himself such high standards that i don't enjoy this as much as past seasons but it's still one of the best in paris

This collection is amazing. Those coats at the end are deliciously wonderful. I really love the styling here too.

This collection is missing a certain "oomph" for me, but it's also the very signature Van Noten that I've come to adore. The cotton khaki pieces at the beginning scared me, but there was no reason to fear, everything is quite elegant. Love the heavy attention to outerwear, which is all out of this world.
