Dries Van Noten Mens S/S 2019 Paris

The minimalist styling is a breath of fresh air for someone who's known for subversive layering. However, the color-blocking attempts which were inspired by Vernon Panton come off too straight-forward and simplistic for my taste. I'd go as far as to say that some of the summery looks are lazy.

I never thought this was possible as I’ve always liked certain Dries pieces , mainly the simple tailoring, but rarely the whole package , but this looks so fresh and desirable and now without trying so hard , it’s my favourite collection of the season .
My main problem this season is that everyone tries so hard to add layers and layers of meaning to more or less forgettable or irrelevant clothes , this is the one collection that appeals to me as a proper collection

I adored it, I like that these prints unlike many other print proposed this season (I'm looking at you Virgil) are actually sophisticated and timeless.
