Um, her head/face is on the large side in proportion to her body and in comparison to the heads/faces of other models. Her head is large and in charge. I still think she's pretty, though.

maybe someone who comes in contact w/ her *ahem ericyoung* may come forth & reveal the TRUTH ....she looks short yes, but judging from pics she's the same height as rest of the mods, it's cuz her proportion is out of whack.

i think du juan's only saving grace might be her face. she comes off quite dull both on runways and in editorials- her odd figure looks forced in artsy high-fashion poses. honestly, if it weren't for the complete lack of any ok-looking asian models currently in use by Western fashion establishments, i wouldn't have looked twice.

i'm still waiting for the day an actual cool asian chick appears on the scene, an unorthodox beauty who isnt butt ugly (Han), someone who one can actually admire / aspire to be...
they're out there, but as always the tragedy with the cool ones, they often arent the ones who'd bother to 'be model', less the competition & attention that inevitably comes with it..

i think hye park is even worse, i think du is just overated, i think she is average as a model. the editor of China Vogue, angelica cheng or something is just terrible, she ruins China Vogue and she and Du seem like having a solid relationship.

I admire your honesty and insight into this, she's beautiful but other chinese models in China, are even more beautiful and just as graceful. Go figure, sometimes it's the right place at the right time to become a success.

not to go on about this, but this is like any case...
not every look works in fashion, especially when people consider there to be many more "beautiful" girls then the models that already exist on the scene. Someone said there can't be a cool girl because they don't want it, but it's more likely that they woudln be successful internationally. Like in america, holland, or sweden, france, china, or any other country, there are many girls who are more typically beautiful than a model, but beautiful isnt going to make you a model in the international scene. Theres too much riding on other things. "Safe" beauty isnt considered beautiful in the fashion world, something more is expected. If the other person is considered more beautiful, a beauty competition is better suited than fashion modelling.
