Edie Sedgwick #3

That was after she went back to California and wasn't dressing that way anymore.

Those photos by Bert Stern are so gorgeous! She looks completely different with the red lipstick. It's such a shame that Edie didn't embrace more classically feminine styles until the end of her life (well she did before she came to New York, but her style back then was pretty drab). And she definitely resembles Marilyn there.

There are some girls wearing similar ear pieces today from Claires! Edie was so ahead of her time.

At a party given by Alfred Strelsin of 936 5th Ave, to honor directors and stars of the 3rd New York film Festival (Sept. 7-18) at Lincoln center, were Madhur Jaffrey and Edie Sedgwick on right. Miss Jaffrey was the best Actress of this past Berlin Film Festival, and miss Sedgwick is the Super-star of Andy Warhol's (Avant garde) movies. September 14, 1965. Photo by William N. Jacobellis.

Is this Edie with David Bowie? A fake photo? Does anyone know?

It is fake. This picture of Edie is from 1965/66 when Bowie wasn't a very well known singer, while that picture of Bowie is from his The Man Who Fell to the Earth days, taken in 1976. :flower:

A lady from tumblr had posted these. I tried to ask about the source of the images, she claims they are from Instagram under a hashtag that pertains to Edie (ie, #ediesedgwick, #sedgwick, etc); but she also says the video is from a museum, possibly the Andy Warhol Museum. She is not too certain and didn't offer much help.

I searched Instagram all weekend and I cannot find this video on Instagram.

If this is in fact from the Warhol Musuem, it could be from Face, but I haven't watched Face yet. Face was being exhibited, along with other Warhol films, at the Mario Testino museum, MATE.

Because the images aren't clear, I personally don't think the hair in these images match her hair in Face. I just do not know - Like I said, I haven't watched Face yet.

Any ideas?
