And the cover nd editorial os L'uomo Vogue January 2006 with Fionn Mcdiarmid and Kian Mitchum. The two of them are also in a meat cellar, shot by Steven Klein as well. I tried looking for the photos but the thread that contained the editorial has links that no longer work.

Also by Steven Klein is D&G SS05? where they are on the beach. One of the models is holding onto an iron bed with 3 legs, similar to that of a US Vogue editorial with the model around an iron bed with similar hair though different location. Also Steven Klein's work for both -_-. If anyone is able to find the photos i'd appreciate it.

Jenny Sweeney's (edit: it wasn't Marie Claore)
ed had a similar theme too

These editorials aren't similar in terms of appearance, but they certainly share the same theme of painting, and both were shot by Meisel, so I feel they're still worth comparing. What I find most interesting is that the American Vogue version is much more tame. It has a lighter, more playful feel to it -- very appropriate for both the Spring season as well as the tamer, generally less avant garde nature of the publication itself. In contrast, the Vogue Italia version is edgier and grungier, definitely more suited to the Autumn season. I personally prefer the Vogue Italia, though I actually like both ^_^

omg the Kenneth Cappello ed... :ninja: I like both eds but it's weitd to copy your own work so litterally.

Does anyone know when those hit newstands? If you look at the credit info, everything but the model is identical...I wouldn't be surprised if it was shot at the same time, and distributed as two stories to two different mags.

Not true. The hair stylist was different for both shoots so it was most likely two separate shoots.

Wow...I have never seen anything like that before...I know people have signatures, but that is too close!

I looked it up for you.

Marcelina's edit. is from Vogue Russia June 2007.
Stam's is from i-D August 2007

Great finds so far. I'm amazed at how blatantly ripped off some of these ideas are. The similarities are no coincidence.

well maybe both iD and Vogue Russia asked Kenneth and Francesca to shoot something sporty and they came with the same ideas for both magazines...
But i wonder how Vogue R. did react when they saw iD editorial...

but if you look at the styling, both look pretty different to me...
just the style of the editorial is 100% similar...

I don't think it's possible to copy yourself. I guess he was still having the same inspirations for the later editorial.

Wow, I love this thread! I always thought the Marcelina and Jessica pictures were from the same editorial. They're almost identical!
