OMG this is just not just a similar theme, this is blatant plagiarism! :ninja:

good finf though.

^it is so weird, first pic even color of the dresses are same. Anja's ed is shooted by Miles Aldridge. Ed name is the Pure Wonder

Maybe slightly off topic but at least Miles Aldridge likes food and Anja.
That the Pure Wonder in Vogue Italia October 2005 and
The New York Times Style magazine living spring 2007. Trunk food I guess or then other pics are just cover outtakes.

don't mess with Tim!

oh HELL no. Tim Walker is the best, how dare anyone try to emulate him. His style is so distinctive! I don't get it-if you like something enough to be inspired by it, why not respect the artist who created it? i think it's fine to be influenced by someone or even do your version of a similar theme, as long as you credit the person who inspired you. but to outright copy something this blatantly? lazy and lame.

Somebody should just post EVERY Steven Klein from US Vogue. All his ed's are "Glossy-Barbie-Doll-Like-Skin".

These editorials aren't similar in terms of appearance, but they certainly share the same theme of painting, and both were shot by Meisel, so I feel they're still worth comparing. What I find most interesting is that the American Vogue version is much more tame. It has a lighter, more playful feel to it -- very appropriate for both the Spring season as well as the tamer, generally less avant garde nature of the publication itself. In contrast, the Vogue Italia version is edgier and grungier, definitely more suited to the Autumn season. I personally prefer the Vogue Italia, though I actually like both ^_^

I have one to add to that:
Vogue China June 2008 / "The Power of Art" / ph: Nick Haymes / model: Emma Pei / source: Aja Mok
I think it shares the same art theme.

This is an EXCELLENT idea for a thread! I love it! There are so many overlapping editorials nowadays.

To go along with the food-themed edits, remember Natasha Poly shoving ice cream and sandwichs in her face in the December/January 2005 issue of VP? I think it was a tongue-in-cheek send-off to all of the people who were making a huge fuss about all of the thin models at the time.

This one's probably not similar by theme but quite a few of them. Don't hate me, I couldn't resist.
