Emilio Pucci F/W 06 Milan

i see the matthew williamson in the collection, but i dont see the pucci.

i miss the prints, the airy fun that lacroix did

OK, I was never a huge fan of Pucci to begin with (it just isn't my thing) but Lacroix was far better. This doesn't look like Pucci at all.

Dreadful.:(

A Pucci revival should be about great prints updated for today's young women. Why don't they get c.neeon or Eley Kishimoto to do it???

Eley Kishimoto would be perfect! Totally make the brand hip again.

This is probably one of the worst collections ever for Pucci. LVMH has to be pretty pissed, I would fire Williamson pronto.

Boring...

Pucci really should have a young, sunny style not vintage and peater pan collars

"It's romantic, sexy, feminine," Williamson said backstage after the show at Milan's Fiera.
"It was about looking at the archives, looking at what Emilio did. He did a lot of things other than prints, and this collection pays respect to that. No woman can wear prints all the time."

What Mathew said about his collection from Yahoo,

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21022006/325/matthew-williamson-brings-london-style-pucci.html

i think that justifys why it may not be as bold as it was before...i quite like it!

it's pretty bad...
but pucci is this brand that i never understood...it's known more for the prints than style, so how far can you take that?

i think they should abandon runway and do showroom with very marketable collections..

most of the collection i really like, but some is just tacky, i have to agree. i guess i loved lacroix's work better.....

and, gosh, sienna, she's soo tacky anyways.....

Tacky.

I actually don't mind the collection, it's much more tame than Lacroix's work but almost too much in the opposite direction where it becomes more unoriginal.

BAH! Matthew Williamson is great! I think its a new step in a good direction from Lacroix ..i love the Pucci prints which are the main thing, but every thing shouldnt have the print on it...it should be normal and muted...thats what I like...

ahhh, somebody, please stop showing these gross little fur collars with satin bow fastening, ponchos and little "vintage" jackets with nipped-in waist and peter pan collar...!!!!

ditto to that

those are horrendous

ugh i hate the fur collar

What happened to the good old psychedelic prints that's become the signature design of Pucci? :( Shesh, not only has he created uninventive (and boho not to mention) clothes, in the process of creation, he has lost the house's ethos.

matthew williamson changed it a lot...some of it is pretty, but a few outfits were EXTREMLY ugly, like that hideous spider man looking lilac suit.

++sienna miller looks terrible, as always

that collection made me so sad. bring back lacroix!!!!!!! Pucci needs a couturier like lacroix or even someone like galliano who would know how to be playful with the prints and still make modern clothing.

some of the dresses work but everything else doesn't...
I miss Lacroix...

But it seems there are die-hard Lacroix fans...:p Do you know if Eley Kishimoto is showing this season? Not a beep from them for LFW.

Well...some pieces remind me of Marc Jacobs with the collar and all, but like no one really talks bout him :( I can wait to see his spring collection..Im sure they will be strong prints and lots of light chiffon. I just cant wait to see his style for it..GRRRRRR 6 more months! :(

Luella Bartley should design for Pucci. I think she'd make it cool, hip and great accessories.

I like this one thing he did, a simple coat lined with a really colorful Pucci print.

It doesn't really seem PUCCI, it seems...Marc Jacobs with Missoni. To me the Pucci look is very 60's, a trapeze line dress or coat with flat sandals or loafers and a hip bag. Luella for Pucci!!

Masquerade, I agree with you. LaCroix somehow made a really loud Pucci print wearable and light as a puff of air.
