I have no problem with her accent and I agree its great that she has a range! It is just a bit weird to me because I am used to her talking as herself or playing Kate.

I've been thinking that her character in the Hobbit is going to be so awesome. I doubt Peter Jackson would be bold enough to make up his own character unless he was confident that it was going to be amazing

I really hope your right Jenna the 'Tolkien Purist' already hate fact that Evangeline is playing completely made up character that's not in the book so if the character sucks they'll end up hating her even more...oh and Peter Jackson as well.

I'm sorry but if you are a "Tolkien Purist" then just don't watch the movie and stick to the books. Almost every movie adaption of a book changes something.

People seemed to accept Liv Tyler having a lot of scenes as Arwen in LOTR movies. In the books, Arwen is mentioned only a few times.

So, i am sure everybody is going to love her as an Elf princess and be amazed by her beauty again

Found this manip online, I had to do a double take because I first thought that it was a newly released promotional photo from The Hobbit movie but then I realized that it was just Evangeline's face manipulated onto Liv Tyler's (Arwen) head and body .

They've just completed the first block of filming on the Hobbit, so I imagine it'll be the second or third block before Evangeline joins them , it could mean she won't be on set until next year.

I figured that she probably hasn't started filming yet because she just had a baby like a month ago and I don't think she would want to go back to work that quickly. So I assume that she will probably move down under late this year or early next year.

Peter Jackson's message did imply that she might be part of the second block of filming. So who knows?

According to IMDB, she will be in both the Hobbit Part 1&2!!

I had little doubts that she wouldn't but its still nice to see it on IMDB. I also noticed that aside from Cate Blanchett, she is the only other major female role. So that gives me more faith that she will have a significant role in both films.

I think PJ cares more about having major female characters in the story than JR Tolkein did
