Facials

^No, unfortunately dear. And depending on your 'Grade' of acne (the severity of it, it ranges from I to IV) it's really best to see a dermatologist first instead of getting a facial, (hust my opinion) because, even though there are facials that can be customized for someone with acne, they can use products that are healing to the skin, etc. etc. it's just a temporary 'fix' so I would see about getting an appointment at a dermatologist and discussing what your skin concerns are. :flower:

Let's talk about facials!

1. Do you go regularly?

2. What is the most effective facial you've gotten?

Other opinions and thoughts to share?

Oops, how strange! I had searched for a thread using "Search titles only" feature on the quick search, and a thread on this never came up. Normally I wouldn't start a new one. Sorry! I'm not sure why this thread ever appeared to me, and was surprised there wasn't one already. Somehow this didn't show up.

I see it was last posted in two years ago, so I'm still curious what people are using as of recently.

I have gone for an ultrasonic facial and really liked it the first time, but the second time, the woman went way overboard and was too harsh. But otherwise it was great.

1)Only when I get clogged pores

2)Honestly I believe just the regular facials with extractions. I mean I tried oxygen+microdermabrasion , both a waste of money IMO.

I do my own facials at home with a microcurrent thingie called Nuface:

I got in to facials a few years ago when the recession first started. For a while was really interested in microcurrent treatments like what Tracy Martyn does:

I get better firming and toning from something called the Tua Trend which Kate Moss uses & now just use the Nuface for fun & relaxation. It tones the skin a little but that's about it.

To get rid of acne you need to change your diet/lifestyle and do TCA peels etc. Facials aren't going to help.

my friend from the states told me about Nubriallance and I did plenty research and had her ship me one. It is amazing.

Professional facials are very important aspect of my skin care routine. I only trust my highly skilled beautician and it was hell of a struggle finding the one. I had some really bad experiences and it's no wonder that so many people are sceptical about facials in general. But facials saved my skin.
