Well, the whole Gucci campaign is up at Gucci.com. I have a few complaints to add to my list. One is that there is absolutely no sexuality whatsoever. There's only one shot of the guy and the girl together, and even there, there is just no trace of that good old Gucci sex appeal. Second, whoever styled it not only neglected to use some of the most gorgeous pieces in the collection, they used three dresses that look practically identical in color and shape, nevermind the fact that they totally ignored the razor sharp pants, military coats and stunning evening gowns. Third, judging by the set the artistic director was obviously going for that Tom Ford luxe sensibility that Gucci did so well, but failed miserably. It looks like a hotel room, albeit a very well decorated one, but it has none of that "I'm young, rich and beautiful and I couldn't care less" attitude. The few ads with the guy by himself aren't half bad, not very Gucci, but the clothes seem to go with the surroundings....very Armani I think, where as the women's stuff is terribly out of place in this elegantly beige and tasteful world.
