the september vogue did have a 2 pg. valentino ad, the one with doutzen and viktoria...but you're right m-o-m, i was expecting to see the entire series in either vogue or bazaar. it's one of my favorite campaigns of the season too...a good mix of girls, great styling and art direction...

Oh really? I must've missed it. Well at any rate, they've been running in very few magazines and usually at just 2 pages. It's really too bad.

Yeah, the major thing is that they have that light on her nose which provides a thinner ridge there than her nose can supply all on its own. She has an adorable profile but her nose full on is quite broad and not very "fragrance ad".

Valentino is really so amazing. Possibly my favorite of this lackluster season. Unfortunately, their advertising budget has been slashed and so this campaign will see a very small print run. You may have noticed that Valentino didn't advertise in the September US Vogue (!). I love the art direction and the clever way of running the cities horizontally on the bottom of the photo. Very stylish and chic.

Well, Valentino's got the entire Hollywood as his walking advertisement, so he can justly slash his print budget. His print ads did appear in Sept. US Vogue this year, but he has ditched Vogue before. I don't recall seeing much of Karoilna Kurkova's SS04 (?) campaign in Vogue at all. And to think that it was a big deal that Armani didn't advertise in Vogue...

No one has mentioned it but Raquel Zimmerman has a shot in the Balenciaga ad in the September Vogue. The series with Freja Beha is running everywhere but this 4-pager features Raquel wearing that fur coat she opened the show in.
