False Eyelashes

im sick of the glue on ones. I want the lavish lash's or the revitalashes

rachyroo, you only need that if you get the cheapo drug store glue. If you buy 'duo' glue from MAC or elsewhere (it's a type of surgical glue) you can just peel the lashes off.

I still stand by the fact that MAC is better than drugstore. I take equally good care of my lashes and the the MAC were much better. Also, the wire/whatever that holds all the lashes on is much thinner on the MAC lashes that I have than the drugstore brand ones so it looks more natural if that is the look you are going for.

I wouldn't recommend getting lash extensions as others have mentioned, it's pretty much guaranteed that they will break some of your own lashes and your own lashes will degrade over time with continual use.

The MAC ones look really natural but its soo hard to put on because they are so light and Im asian with no crease so it goes on like sticking straight up because my crease pushes them up. Its hard to explain but I hope they come out with individual ones someday.

^oh cool I havent been on the mac website for awhile and they do have it...i must have overlooked it

I always had difficulty with individual lashes. Since there is not the whole line of them, I find it hard to keep them on

Viktor and Rolf have designed some false lashes for Shu uemura but i cant find decent enough photos of these wonderful creations

i love dramatic false lashes i think they're going to be my new thing to collect:blush:

Does everyone's eyes look like crap when they take off the falsies or is it just me?

I usually use a liquid liner close to the falsies and when I take the falsies off it rips of the liquid liner and my eye makeup looks "messed up" and weird because it's missing the eye liner. It's no big deal anyway because when I take the lashes off I suppose I will be done for the day and have no need to look good anymore, but I'm wondering if it's cause I'm wearing liquid liner or if happens to anyone else.

^ No, this happens to me too!

Cool, glad to know I'm not the only one!

My eyes feel so heavy when I wear falsies even tho I have worn them before, sometimes it feels annoying, like it's making my eyesight blurry or affecting my vision but I guess that's the price for great lashes...

Does anyone know if there's anything you can do to alleviate that "heavy" feeling on the lashes?

i wanna get mine permed...they are already long....

i'm going to be a bridesmaid in January..so i want my eye lashes to be nice and curled...i might put some falsies on just to giev that extra vavavoom!! we'll see

Has anybody tried the eyelure individual eyelashes? This is the first time the individual ones have caught my eye (pun intended), i've never worn falsies of any kind before but the fact that they last 3 to 4 weeks sounded appealing, and that you attach them to your eyelashes so they just fall out when your eyelash does...and I guess you could just keep replacing the fallen out ones with a new one. I also noticed on the website they have a 'lift off' solution which removes the eyelashes if you need to.

Also, how easy (or difficult) are individual ones to put on yourself? Do you recommend using normal tweezers or actually buying one of the eyelash applicator tweezers?

I'm thinking of buying MAC's #32 or #33 lashes .Has anybody tried them?

I had them but I could only get one eye to look good, the other eye wouldn't go right! Since then I have only used strips of lashes! But you may be better that I was, I would use normail tweezers beacuse you may find it hard to place them exactly where you want them with the eyelash applicators I can't comment on their staying power as I took mine straight off!

^^^ im just trying these out i have managed to apply them but im waiting for sleep on them first before i give me first review then its a count down until they fall off.

well i woke up this morning and they looked like dead spider legs on my eyes they got all bent during the night. so im removing them its a good idea if they didnt look awful the next day:ninja:

Tips for putting on false eyelashes?

I'm a newbie to false eyelashes and still trying to put them on correctly. So far this is what I have been doing:

*Curl my natural lashes. Apply mascara.
*Put Duo adhesive glue to the false lashes. Wait 30 sec to dry.
*Using tweezers, I put them close to my lash line.
*Apply another coat of mascara.

But these are the problems I've been having:
1. When I put the false lashes on my lids, you can see the pale yellow glue. How do you apply the glue so that it won't be visible?
2. When I put the false lashes, the outer corners usually don't stay put. Do you apply more glue to that area? Or do you rip off the entire lash and apply more glue and put back on your lid?

Any suggestions on how to fix that? Thanks! :flower:
