i will never ever use MAC false lashies! they are really pretty but since i have asian eyes no crease it was so hard for me to put them on because they were really light and flexible and they were sticking all over my eyes. The ardell ones are good for me because its easier to control.

false eyelashes. ouch?

Hi
I've never tried false eyelashes before and I want to wear them for an upcoming wedding.

Wondering
-are they uncomfortable?
-what is the best style to 'open' up my eyes?
- is it best to go to a make up artist to get it done?

thanks!

they're really easy to put on and last a long if you put them properly. I 've used for a long while the ones from Shuemura, very nice and naturals.

I guess if you wear them a lot like I do, buy different sets, like the cheap Ardelli ones. Use a more expensive set for special occasions.

This tutorial shows you how you can reuse your lashes again. It's a bit of a process but I'd be interested in trying it out. I don't know how well you'd be able to recreate that curl fake eyelashes always have once you've washed it though.

When I was at a Beauty Trade Fair, that german brand, Alessandro, was offering permanent faux lashes. And when I say permanent, they mean that it'll last a few months (Major LAWL bout that from my side).

They had one of those HUGE magnifying glasses, so they could see each eyelash perfectly, then proceeded to glue single fake lashes on the real ones. It took REALLY long (then again, I'm a guy, so anything more than 10 minutes of fidgeting around my eyelashes seems long ), so I didn't stay for the entire presentation on some other attendees who had it done.

No mascara. The lashes were curled and were supposed to stay that way.
No harsh eyemakeup remover. Which might also mean, no strong eye makeup.
No rubbing the eyes too much.

All in all, I think it cost 120 Euros to get both eyes done, with faux lashes on each real one, while it cost half to have them faux applied to every second eyelash.

He is SO cute. :woot:

If I get false eye lashes applied how long can I keep them on until I should remove them? From Shu Uemura specifically.

^ For me it really depends how gunked up this get, sorry for the lack of better words... if I put a lot of mascara on them the night before, I can say good-bye to them. But if you're careful with them, I find that I can keep them on for days at a time.

Is the duo lash adhesive from MAC and the one sold in drugstores the same? Same name, different packaging.

I don't know? I just know they sell duo at MAC and it works the best. When I was going to buy glue at a drugstore the girl was like 'you'll need the remover as well' and i was like 'what?' and she said you couldn't just pull them off (like you can with duo) you have to use a dissolvent. Don't know the brand of that glue though.

Shu has some crazy ones, I'd love to get into wearing. I love false lashes though and my MAC ones are the most long lasting. Cheaper ones for me don't stay on as well nor do they last so i'd rather just buy more expensive ones.
