Fashion Help! What to wear to a silver wedding?

In May my parents and I will go to the 25th anniversary of their best friends.
I really don't know what to wear...Dress or skirt? Because I don't want to feel overdressed.

Maybe you can post some outfits?
(If possible with shoes and accessoires)

What time of day is the party and where (e.g. restaurant, home, etc.)? Indoor/outdoor? Formal/Informal? These questions might help in deciding what's appropriate...

I don't know exactly where it is but it will be a restaurant or something like that so it's indoor and it will be not that formal but also not informal, I think a middle between these two things.
