^ That's true.

Let's see... Gemma for YSL FW 04 would be one I love, because of its sheer and lacquered 70s Eastern YSL perfection. The images are lightly doctored by me, though. I like my campaign images darker and more 'golden.'

So these weren't the actual image coloration printed in mags at the time, but still they are close enough.

Kate's 2001 SS Gucci would be another one. Because it is just so beuatiful and Kate never looked lovelier.

The source would be same as above.

This is my all-time favourite. It's so dynamic! :)

MaxMara SS07 by Craig McDean

Thanks Kasper.

Another fave would be the fantastic Gucci SS 05. It is one of the most tender, sensual, stunning stories ever. I always wonder about these three... like what has happened to them afterwards. Did they all live together as a happy threesome, or did one finally get up and leave... And if one did, then which one was it? Were they all in love, or was it something else?

The bisexuality angle here is handled so perfectly It isn't sleazy or slimy. In fact, it look poetic and other-worldly. And it is one of the very very few wide-spread seasonal ad campaigns (for the biggest luxury company in the world, I might add) that was brave enough to handle same sex male sensuality in such a dignified and sublime manner. It isn't kitsch, nor meant to shock. It isn't alienating or offensive. The beauty and serene naturalness of attraction between these three characters are just there, in these images. I love that one can imagine a story while looking at these images.

And both Natasha and Javier never looked more beautiful, peaceful and innocent. All three look like angels here, dressed in insanely sexy collections by the great Alessandra and ever-so-elegant John Ray. I also love how sunlight is washing them and almost blessing their existence. (the sunlight effect which was made more extreme by me in these versions of the original images)

Thanks Pasha, I totally forgot how fantastic those images were. I was like 17 or 18 and so turned on by Natasha and co. that I remember wanting anything at all from that collection.

LV FW 2004, by M&M for its sheer old Hollywood glamor and luxury look that Vanity Fair tries so hard to achieve every issue and often fails.

I love the colors and the heavy airbrushing.

I have quite a few favorites, but this is always the first that comes to mind:

Versace SS2003 by Steven Meisel

Jozworld

Colorful, powerful, attention-grabbing...everything that high fashion, especially a label like Versace, embodies - and all with the right twinge of haughtiness! The only thing that always throws me off is the strange torso/leg photoshopping in the first image...

(continued from above...)

Hayden for mens ads. Sources are the same.

This shot of the Chloe ad is the one that turned me onto fashion and perhaps my favorite ad ever.

I think I am either too young or too ignorant to appreciate some of the older ads posted, although I do love the 1976 Dior ad.

Alberta Ferretti SS08
I basically just loved the colours and how glamorous the models look.
