Favorite "Cheap" Shops?

Hahaha, TJMaxx is great, especially for shoes! Don't be ashamed.

I have to say, I disagree about the classification of some of these places as cheap. For me, buying something from Mexx would be a splurge. :ninja:

Then again, I'm uber-broke. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

Of these places, I choose H&M. I like Urban Outfitters, but I don't buy from them generally because their stuff is all over my school. I definitely wouldn't buy a printed tshirt from them (because there would be three others in each class). I'm not quite as familiar with some of these stores, though...

I am addicted to:

Urban Outfitters
Banana Republic
Club Monaco

Out of all of the possible selections - I don't always buy clothes at UO, mostly just accessories or little things, the occasional shirt, etc, but I buy clothes at BR and esp. at Club Monaco, all the time.

I don't have a Zara or an H&M in my area right now (H&M is coming to SF in 2005, but that's not for a while, so even while I love those stores (I've been to both, in the UK and France), I can't shop there.

Love Zara  but there are many "cheap" shops in France where you can find some cool stuffs ! ;) ;)

We have Mango and Zara in the city I live in, and I hate Zara. Everything looks so cheap and unquality and the same. The only product I ever bought there was a shirt and it fell apart after 2 weeks. Boo.

Le Chateau. I can almost always find *something* to buy there, and I usually end up getting at least something small. Even if it's just some cheapie accessories.

Mango all the way.
H&M is nice, too, ..but you always get people wearing the same thing as you..like StellaStorm said.

Are there any Zara's in the US? I saw them in Ireland, but I've seen none here

 The Zara I know carries good quality merchandise.

I bought clothes from H&M in second hands and think that H&M is great.

Out of those stores, I give the nod to Club Monaco. I especially like their button down shirts which often go on sale for $29 and are slim cut. ZARA has the nicest designs, but most of their items don't seem to be made well.

I'm unfamilar with a bunch of those shops listed.

I like Guess, too. I know they rip off stuff, and they have a lot of tacky and overly-trendy stuff (I'm young, so I don't mind a little tackiness ), and a lot of their men's stuff is cut too big, but at least the clothes are interesting (when compared to Gap, etc.). And the stuff is pretty damn tough. Try ripping those jeans...

I have a bunch of stuff from Guess that people stop me on the streets and ask me about. Even happened yesterday, actually...

Nice to see another Guess shopper! I don't really consider their clothes cheap- everything I bought from there was on sale..and everything has lasted.

I stopped buying from Urban outfitters because of the 'Ghettopoly' game.

Bebe has some cute items- again, I onle buy from the sale rack and just browse the regular priced items.

I'm scared to buy anything from Express or the Gap because it seems like everyone shops there.

I also dip into H&M just to browse the handbags/earrings.

my vote went to urban, but for what you get, it isn't really that cheap...had a chance to pop into zara on robson in van and their stuff is actually priced very decent ::thumbsup::

i like wet seal :ninja:

but only their fall clothing. they actually have some really cute stuff.
