Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai

:woot:

Mine are:

Bullitt
Mad Max (all of them)
Waking Life
the Wizard of Oz (if that isn't cult-like I don't what is)
a Fistful of Dollars
a Few Dollars More
the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
anything by Tim Burton
Donnie Darko
Donnie Brasco

and those old reel to reel films I watched in elementary school, liek the one with the red balloon that floats around looking for love. and the soundtracks to those are phenomenal, the horrible sound only adds to the vibe.

and the Cremaster movies! Especially 3 with Agnostic Front vs. Murphy's Law!

^oooh...Cremester! :woot:

And I like Fritz Lang...whosoever posted that earlier in the thread,I can't remember.

i have yet to really see Waking Life. i saw his Cremaster movie(s)? at the theatre and i found it pretty tedious to sit through... i did like his retrospective though. i bought the book...maybe i should flip through it again.

btw. i finally rented Dogville. have you seen it? i'll let you know what i think...

Well, all the Cremasters really suck as far as entertainment goes. I've only actually seen psrts of a few, never a whole one, his work is hard as hell to find. I had no idea there was a book out. Can you shoot me a ISBN number or something?

I forgot about Two Lane Blacktop and the Wild One. And 28 Days Later.

i bought my copy at the guggenheim. doesn't he have a website? otherwise i think any decent art museum should carry it.

has any one seen 'Spider Baby'? very very good.
Pulp fiction... I like it but, I think this is a film ABOUT a certain kind of cult film but not actualy a cult film... just an idea. But what do I know.
anything by Russ Meyers, ed wood, suspiria, Diva, tuki buki, Almoldivar.... 60,70 japanese.... 60, 70 Italian horror/camp. chainsaw massacre, ...
??????

a cult film of myself is "the piano teacher" with isabelle huppert... that movie :buzz:
and of course, everything and anything almodovar

thanks for the spelling... Amodovar. lol
Im bad with english so my spanish name guessing is worse. Yeah hes the best. I like his early films best. But he is a solid director... I really liked 'talk to her'.
And by Ed wood, I meant the director not the movie... but the movie is good I like Johnny Depp. And it was fun.
Paino teacher is good. I didnt like it as much as I had hoped. There is another movie by the same director that is really good. I forget the exact title. But very f*d up.
Same sort of perverse sexual power play too.

And duh.. well I'm at it, might as well mention... David Lynch, can't talk about cult with out him. continues to do the unexpected. Each film better and better. I am always blown away.

Oh yes, the piano teacher is great! Very heavy and it left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

Ed Wood is incredible. Everyone should see it.

Oh my god! I was JUST thinking about this movie:woot:, SJP was on t.v. and then suddenly Johnny Depp in her angora sweater just popped in my head. That movie is so funny and touching.

^^I  Ed Wood too. Johnny Depp is perfect in it (especially in a dress!) Does Buffalo '66 count as a cult film? I really like that movie.

Kill Bill
lost in translation
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
swimming pool

Blue Velvet
Donnie Darko
The Crow
Singing in the Rain (maybe that doesn´t really belong in this category but still, it had to be mentioned..)
