Favourite football / Soccer team

I watched Chelsea v. Barcelona the other day.

Well done to Chelsea. Even thougth I suport them both.
But anyways...The game was great...full of nice moves and moments.

But I was shocked in the end. I was well dissapointed!!

There was this conflic between Eto'o, Ronaldhino and some security guys. One of the security ppl called Eto'o a "black monkey"!!!

I am shocked!!! I can't believe that there is still racism around us...
I just don't know what to say. I feel sick even thinking that there still people around me like that.:yuk:

They look at certain groups of poeple from above...but how dare they put themselves on the top? Why they think they are better? What have they done to be so self-confident? Just cuz they were born lighter?

Sorry...I just have a very strong opinion about this topic.

And btw they sell the STAND UP, SPEAK UP anti-racism bracelets at NIKE stores....hope you guys get one...I did...^_^

But I hardly believe that it will change anything.

It is sad how racism is still active in football (soccer).. especially since football is suppose to be such a "wordly" sport. However what can you do with so many uneducated, morons out there!

Barca is the second team I support and I too laud the Nike campaign but honestly they were being babies because they lost.

Racism is still present in football esp in europe. Do you remember the spain v england game? That was just horrible and the spanish fa only got fined something like £3000, which to fa is like pocket change.

There's still racism within some English teams along with poor misconduct by players which is quite sad because it really degrades the game

There si defenitly racism still in the english game, thers no doubt about that. I just cant understand people who do it.

Anyway...Frisk was retired from football because there was death threats made to his family apperantly from Chelsea fans...Dont know if thats true or not but thats taking it way too far.

they've been trying to 'kick racism out of football' for ages as the phrase goes. i remember our school entering a competition for this campaign in year 6 that was ages ago! its quite sad really how people are still racist and will stoop to such levels when it comes to black football players. and its hard to believe such a campaign has been going on for years and has had such little impact on the sport!

It's true. There's even talk of a referees strike.
Resignation over death threats against him and his family is taking it way too far? I disagree. If he feels truly threatened then he should do what he thinks he must do.

^ I didn't think he was going to take those threats seriously, these kind of things happens in football all the time, to retire because of it is another case all together.

Did anyone see the fight between the two Newcastle players  and it happened on the same day Alan Shearer decided not retire from Newcastle

I also get really angry about racism, especially in football. I don't feel FIFA or UEFA is doing enough to stop it. I myself watched the infamous England vs Spain match and I just remember feeling sickened by the way the crowd behaved and I was even more angry to see that no-one was doing anything about it.
