Yeah hopefully RVP can get fit again and we can stick him on the pitch to annoy Thuram and Canna.

1:20 till Villa-Arsenal kick off. I hope Wenger rests Cesc and Reyes. They both worked like crazy against the bianconeri
oooh! Another one for Arsenal. :flower: Yep, nothing like a lightning paced RVP to annoy the hell out of the Juve defence. He was one of the scorers in the thrashing of Aston Villa 5-0. King Henry scored a brace and the other 2 goals came from Adebayor and Diaby.

Is Nedved coming back? I don't like him.

:cry::cry::cry:

Pires is off to Spain

By BEN KINSELLA
ROBERT PIRES will quit Arsenal to join Champions League rivals Villarreal in Spain this summer. The French midfielder, 32, has been offered just a one-year deal by the Gunners.
Now Pires has agreed a two-year contract at Villarreal worth £50,000 a week with an option of a further year.
Pires is a free agent at the end of the season and a Villarreal spokesman claimed he has already signed a pre-contract agreement.
He said: “It was incredible to us that a brilliant talent like Pires was being allowed to go out of contract.”
Pires was keen to stay in London but wanted the security of a two-year deal. However, Arsenal refuse to give players over 30 more than 12-month contracts.
Earlier this week Pires admitted: “I’ve received offers from England, Scotland, Portugal and Spain but it’s good to have a range of options on the table.”
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refuses to change club policy. He said: “He’s approaching his 33rd birthday and as he gets older he simply has to accept a short-term contract. It’s sad but footballers’ careers ‘die’ young!”

Yeah for sure hope so too!:buzz: :buzz: :buzz: That would be absolutely amazing after such a dissapointing season;) Yesterday's was great, I feel we are getting our old form back, I can only hope it lasts:p

Oh and about the Pires rumours, it would be really sad  but I think in the end he would make a mistake, I mean Villareal is a really small club compared to arsenal so I doubt that, I mean he still wants to be successful, doesn't he? Anyways i don't believe any of these rumours until they are offically confirmed..;)

^Did you see the Barça-Madrid? They clearly bought the referee :yuk:  And Roberto Carlos didn't stop doing faults till they send him off :ninja:

Seems like RVP is back!!! :woot: He's the best crosser we have and really committed but I'm not sure if Wenger will pick him for the Turin as if we go without Cesc and Eboue, we might need more defensive cover. Diaby should be enough for midfield muscle but we dont know how good he is on the big stage. Nedved's back but Vieira, Zebina, Cammoranesi are both out. Hopefully del Piero stays injured for just a little bit longer.

Yeah i hope Pires stays to help out Arsenal but then Villareal aren't a small club either. They're actually pretty powerful with Sorin, Forlan, and Riquelme-arguably the best passer at the moment.

HEY! Can't believe I didn't see this thread before. I love love love Manchester United!! We've got the best attack in the league right now and hopefully we'll catch Chelsea.

you'll have to nick a win away from the gunners at OT which is highly unlikely :brows:

^ LOL amphrosyne! Good one. Sorry chocolate but I dislike MU.

I believe the Pires thing is no longer a rumour. He wants a longer term but Arsenal won't offer anything longer than 1 year for those above 30.

Did you guys hear??? Cesc picked up an injury in the match against Aston Villa and it doesn't look good.:cry::cry:

 we're screwed for turin and old trafford especially the bianconeri as Adebayor is cup tied. I guess we're gonna just have to defend 4-5-1. Eboue got injured too and with babyface nedved back our defense is going to be torn apart.

^ no no we mustn't lose hope! If we get one away goal, we're in. By the way, it's Diver Nedved ok.

Really everyone..just because two of our players are injured and might not play, it really doesn't make any sense to give up:rolleyes: I've just read too that both are much better and probably will play, no need to worry!:woot: ;) Even if they don't play, what's the point? I mean it wasn't like there were only two players on the field in Highbury! Okay Juve are a great team and it won't be easy but our chances are pretty high imo. ;) We looked pretty good in the last matches and a lot of Juve players won't be allowed to play, including Vieria. I believe in our team and feel that we can do it if we keep on playing the way we played the past weeks:woot: so...GO GUNNERS!!!

About Pires, like I said before I won't say goodbye to him until it's offical really. :innocent: Okay it doesn't look very good right now but if he wants to go I can only wish him good luck:flower: and hope that he doesn't regret his decision. :p Anyways, I think we should concentrate on getting fourth in the EPL and getting into the Half finals of the CL now! :ninja: That's priority.

Yeah thanks to serena and her spamming abilities  ;)

   yeah I always said that I'm spaming it but it's just because I  to talk about football, esp. about Arsenal:ninja:

But that doesn't mean I don't like it if non-Arsenal fans post here too, I think it would be great but at the moment, it's only the Arsenal fans so what can I do!?
