Fendi Resort 2023 New York

Another collab where they only recycled ideas and slapped on the logos. How original, thanks but no thanks.
It's sad to see that the people at Fendi think the only way for them to stay relevant now is by collaborating. How about getting someone that is capable?
Karl did 54 years at Fendi by himself, can you do that for one year Kim?

Some of the women and men look like they could be straight out of Philip Plein.
And the styling is a mess. Why do they need 3 stylists for one show? Why not just stick to Carlyne only, at least her part was fun.
So Marc's contribution is to let them borrow his designs and slap the Fendi logos on them?

First Versace and now with MJ, I wonder if the Fendi clients walk into the store and confuse why the brand keeps selling other brand logos in their store.

Did Marc Jacobs do the footwear too? Because those furry clogs remind me of the shoes he did for Vuitton S/S 2010:

And what elements were those? Boisterous loudness?
Noise, pure noise. But that’s Kim Jones. Every collection is about a boring collab, another 90’s supermodel moment and when none of this is included, we have dry and boring collections. Fendi has always been daring…Not anymore.
But they are enjoying commercial success and that’s the only thing that matters after all…Isn’t it?

5am here and they already ruined my entire day. 4 minds for one of the ugliest collection from the past years.

Marc is embarrassing since years now, KJ no comment and Silvia I start to slightly dislike her because she lets someone ruining her name, her heritage like that. I don't care about Linda, truly. Time to move on, she made bad choices we are not here to make her feel better about herself, go see a therapist.

I wouldn't blame her, since she's just another employee that the suits can fire at any moment, I'm sure she has no choice but to say yes to everything Kim wants.

Yes, she did contribute to this mess but I don't want her to leave because it only going to get worse if only Kim is at the helm.

Every time I see Kim's collections I feel sad because I remembered Silvia's solo was so good. And the suits waste opportunities to create something great just to chase after the hype and cool of the moment.

i guess people in New York do wear these... Kim Jones should apologize to Karl.

Honestly, if this was Etro, and didnt have any supermodels, noone would even look or comment. Its even worse than the worst Etro show lmao. This doesnt deserve any commenting, its just so appalling, old fashioned, frankly. i would suggest to all the TFS commentators- let’s ignore this next time. Wasting our time and space on internet lol

You can report me for saying this but Precious is not a runway model. She is fat, clothes look horrible on her.

But fat people also wear clothes. Why blame her when its the designer that failed to design something that flatters her body type? IMO she's a much bette rmodel than most of today's supossedly 'sample sized' models. I dont think the fashion industry knows how to dress plus sized people due to historically churning out a fixed size.

As far as the clothes many of them are the wrong proportions but I love the mint and the neon against the grey. The bags which were meant to be the highlight of the show cant be seen.

Those bejeweled shoes and bags with logos are offensively ugly to the point where I think even bootleggers wouldn't stoop so low. Hideous to the extreme. No comments on another set of disgusting bucket hats with a multitude of the most hideous prints you've ever seen. God, how absolutely appalling. The clothes... my god. I have no words. Boys in caps and hoodies and backpacks looking like they're coming home from school on a Thursday? Wow. I do hope fashion criticism still exists because people responsible for this need to be put to shame. No 'iconicity' about this.

Chances are that Vincenzo's debut will pull out a stronger collection this season.

The baguette is such a fantastic bag, it's such a classic timeless piece with history. What has this collection got to do with that? i actually loved Kim's collections at fendi so far - but this is really trash.

It is bit of a dilemma. Is she a good runway model? Not really, no. Is she given outfits or looks or support to make her a good runway model? Also no. And this show is an unfair example. That dress is absolutely atrocious on her, and on a more typical model it would be equally atrocious because what are those panels even doing. Yet another pathetic, Kim Jones attempt at trying to do Galliano's Fall 2000 Dior collection.

The instances she's made the opportunity to be a decent runway model the designer has tried their best to cover up her body and almost deny her the opportunity showing what she represents as a model besides being an ample set of breasts. If you as a designer can't do non-typical sample sizes for the runway don't even bother. Leave it to the pattern makers, sample makers and CAD experts that can scale the patterns to work for that size post show and not make a fool of yourself. It isn't the best result, but don't make a mockery or novelty of a shape you don't understand and have an audience try to praise it.

Its the problem with the industry today, they worry more about ticking the diversity box than how diversity actually looks. Her breasts always seem overly squashed on most runways which is a mistake on the side of design/ production. Diversity needs to also go to the design teams and cutting room if they want to represent every aspect.
