^^ I haven't thought about that, but I wouldn't see why you'd need to. but if it helps, I'd gladly do it! And thanks for letting me know about your Spy, as well! It makes me feel less stressed about conditioning it. And also excited that my bag will look nicer afterwards.

I was just wondering about the handles because I noticed the leather on LV handheld bags (for example) where the bag is held is usually darker than the rest of the handles, probably from sweat/oils etc. I figure the lotion may keep the handles as oil- and sweat-free as possible. Or am I just being too much of a "clean-freak" with the Spy bag?

How do you ladies "wear" your Fendi Spy bag? Do you hand-hold, drape it on your fore arm, or wear it on your shoulders?

I have yet to use my Spy bag but have been using my Spy Satchel and Hobo a lot. I am very shy about using my Spy bag because I feel that it's such an attention-grabbing bag. I almost want to hide it by wearing it on my shoulders rather than hand-holding it. Am I just being silly? Do you ladies get a lot of attention when you use your Spy bags?

No no no dont hide it! Why would you want to hide such a gorgeous bag?

I wear mine no my for arm or handheld, but I just overall dont really like carrying my bags on my shoulder. I really dont notice anymore attention when I wear my spy than any other bag

Well, I don't actually own a Spy , but when I've paraded my mother's infront of the mirror I've carried it in my hand or in the hook of my arm.

Hi Edna -

I just conditioned my petrol Spy hobo with the AG lotion and hardly any color came off/onto the towel. I tested the back of the hobo zipper tag first (made of the leather) before conditioning the bag. The bag seems more healthy and lustrous after applying the lotion. I am letting it dry until tomorrow and then spraying it with the AG rain repellant spray. Good luck with the conditionin

i recently bought ahoney spy from fendi botique in selfridges and when i asked them about cleaning or protection 4 the bag they adviced me onley to use baby wet wipes on it !!!!!

I put the lotion on my handles and they turned out fine. I don't even know how much actually absorbed into the handles. I used my spy today for the first time and love it! I carry mine on my arm. I got the most fuss in Saks from the SA's there. They all want a spy, but they can't keep them on the shelves here.

Yes, I have a Petrol Hobo and I absolutely love it! I had a tough time choosing between the Petrol Hobo and the Petrol Spy as well, but I chose the hobo in the end because I thought it was something I can use all the time for work and the weekends. For me personally, I don't think the regular Petrol Spy will be as versatile. Right now I do have the regular Petrol Spy in my possesion - I purchased it from eLuxury last month but I have decided to send it back after hours of comparison with the hobo in front of the mirror. It's a tough decision, and if I could afford both (or if my birthday was coming up ) I would keep both.

I will definitely take pictures later this week and post them up - my friend has borrowed my camera for the moment but I should get it back from her soon.

No, I'm in Europe and there are no Fendi boutiques where I live

Drape on forearm. Actually, I only get a lot of attention when I go to places where people know what it is. Most of the places I frequent people just don't care nor do any of them know. I work with mostly guys and you all know how they are. Most of them wouldn't know a fendi spy from a paddington if it landed on their head! (I know it sounds awful to say, but it's true.)

I carry mine on my forearm, and sometimes I carry it in my hand but mostly forearm because it is easier and more convenient. I carrry mine ALL the time. I tend to get a bit of attention, but I think only because I have a sequin spy and I think that all of the colors attract attention. But mostly only nice things are said. I actually get less attention with my spy then I did a couple of years ago when I was carrying my Vuitton Speedy 30.

I so love the petrol color. I ended up getting a dark brown because the petrol was unavailable. I would probably have gotten that one if I knew where they had a stock of petrols!

You should keep an eye out on the eLux website if you are still interested in the Petrol Spy. I haven't shipped it back to them yet but will do so probably the end of this week. They are pretty fast in the return processing. I can post a note when eLux emails me stating that they have processed my return. Pretty much the bag will show up on the website soon after that email.
