Fendi Spy Bag

Can anyone tell me (and hopefully post pics) about the differences between the old cognac and the new cognac? Is there a huge difference?

legaldiva,
As far as I know, there is no difference between the cognac produced in different seasons since it is a permanent color.

I've read that tere is a small difference in the shininess of the leather and I think the contrast of the handles, but it's very minimal.

Sorry, I haven't posted in this thread for a while. But I remember reading about this earlier in the thread.

Cognac is a permanent color in the line but it had problems with fading. Supposedly the newer cognac bags are darker and shinier than the early models. This was, I guess, to help the color from fading so much. I purchased my cognac spy in early January so I'm guessing mine is one of the new cognac spys. Here's pics of mine:

Excellent. Thank you so much! It looks shinier ... do you think that will prevent wear? I'm thinking especially on the bag where the top flaps over.

TIA!

Honestly, I have no idea ... I am very happy with my bag so far. I suppose wear and tear is unavoidable since it is leather. I think you just have to condition it once it starts looking dull near the flap.

asl bebes, your bag looks great!! I too have a ss06 cognac spy received in early January. Yours doesn't look to have faded at all- has it? Mine has a few rubbed places on it near the seams but nothing bad at all. I try to condition it every couple of weeks and spray AG rain repellant every so often. I have to add, I love the cognac color- its a beautiful color for the spy!

the silver/gold spy.. It's pretty but I'm glad I decided against it.

gg---I saw the gold at Fendi this Saturday...its really pretty but not what I thought...its over the top....

If anyone is interested...I was at Costco South San Francisco today and they were selling the black Fendi Spy bag for $1299.97. I don't know how many are available but I assume that they may have only one and it was displayed in a case.

Crazy Cool: Is bone the same as camel? It's beautifulll. The handles seem to glisten in that colour.
Kip, I'm not sure if they are one and the same but I've seen it used interchangably somewhere, I think on this forum. I really like this colour too. I think this, the cognac and honey are my favs in the leather. I know, how safe, right? Regarding AG, mine hasn't arrived yet. Hope it will come any day soon.

Spy afficionados, is the camel and bone the same??

Asl_bebes: LOVE your cognac Spy! Thanks for the pics!

Has anyone purchased the wisteria or the denim striped bag with white handles? How do you like them and what do you think of them?

the ones they did last fall were kinda weird. I went into the store and saw one on the shelf. It was really dark and creepy looking....wasn't nice at all.
