Fendi Spy Bag

I'm sorry to hear that, Grill. I never had this prob but I've heard of people using the Magic Eraser for such stains. It's dry so perhaps less damaging?

Totally off-topic, here I am with my new Silver spy out for a wedding dinner on Saturday. With my new MiuMiu dress.
please do not quote images

love that!

Pretty Dress ! Stunning bag!

Thanks for the advice. Magic Eraser - at first I thought what's that and after I did a quick google search found out it was one of the many cleaning products I've been stockpiling (don't ask!!)...Anyway, I have just tried it but am concerned that it was rather too abrasive for the soft fragile leather. I will see how it looks though once the patch has dried. Fingers Crossed.

hi, girls
Just wanna ask for advices. i'm interested in buying the spy bag, but wondering how many sizes do they have actually? what size do u suggest?
thank you

^ I definatly recommend the original size. Theres also the sachel which is pretty small and the hobo.

There's actually only one size now, which is the medium. Sometimes it varies an inch or two, depending on the design, but it's still the medium. The large (luggage size) is no longer in production.

Thanks Rei and Guessgirl,
I went to Fendi shop and they said they are no longer produce spy in petrol. Is that so? I actually like the petrol and brown, but i have paddy in dark brown. so, think that it would be better to get the petrol. or any other colors u guys suggest?
btw, Rei's silver spy is sooo pretty.

reimatsuko: you look gorgeous with your metallic spy. you are a bad, bad influence! now i'm thinking where can i find one. :p

re. the sequined spy: the weirdest thing- i saw literally 4 different girls with sequined spies in the hamptons last weekend within 3 days. considering i didn't see any other spies last weekend, i thought it was rather odd.

Can someone help me out here & answer my doubts here -

I need to know if the honey spy is of similar color tone to the paddington whiskey?

I have seen some pics posted here showing a lighter tan color (alike tan paddington) & some are darker (alike whiskey)...

does the honey leather color vary in diff batches of honey spy bags?

(I am planning to buy one from ebay - but I am also seeing darker vs lighter honey spies - so i am not sure if its the lighting in the photo, or one of the colors is a fake).

Please help! TIA! :D

That is really odd! Note to self: don't bring the sequinned spy when vacationing at the Hamptons.

After seeing all of the bags you've mentioned above IRL, I would say that the honey is closest to the tan paddy, but there is some natural variation in the dye batch.

thanks for your reply, greendrv!

one last help - could you help take a look at the ebay auctions that I am interested in...

which auction shows the true real life honey color that I shld be expecting/& if they are auth bags for sale -

item#300008694840 (color looks like whiskey paddy & I kinda like this shade)

#180007852233

I'd be interested in what Greendrv thinks too... don't take my word on this alone, but they all look legitimate, though I don't know any of the sellers. But why buy for almost $2000 on ebay when Saks.com has them for $2,075.00 & you can return it if you don't like the color or change you mind? ;) They often have free shipping with SHOPJULY (don't know if it's on this month but check the website or try using it before you purchase). Only 300008694840 has a used one much cheaper & it looks real to me. You might write & ask her if the clasp still is tight as they can have that problem. You are at risk with a big purchase like a Spy unless someone here knows the seller... it's a lot of money to take a chance with.
BTW... NeimanMarcus.com has the beautiful white lambskin Spy on for sale again.

In case you are interested in the smaller Spy Bowler in honey, neimanmarcus.com has it at retail $1300 + free shipping with code lastcall.
It's not actually that small either & has a zip closure.

In case anyone's interested, I spotted a PETROL Spy at the Fendi Boutique (flagship) on 5th Ave this evening. I know this color is impossible to come by, so hope someone here nabs it!

They also had black leather, black satin and bronze Spy bags on display.

Yes, the petrol is no longer produced. It was seasonal and only done for last fall. Honeslty I'm not loving any of the new colors so I cant really recommend anything.

...sorry I know this is a bit off topic sorry but is there any helpful swedes around...?

My mom loves these bags and she's right now shopping in Stockholm & is still spending few days there - does anyone know if there's any boutiques selling Fendi bags (especially spys) in Stockholm?
I tried www.fendi.com but it doesn't seem to work right now :/

I've seen at least a Spy hobo in a shop in one of the small streets that cross Birger Jarlsgatan and Biblioteksgatan at Stureplan when I walking home from work. I think it is the same street that has LV on the corner, but the other side. Sorry to be so vague but I can't recall the name of the street or the name of the shop right now. :D

The authentic petrol color is more of a teal blue. That one looks more navy.

Since you ladies really know your spies, could someone tell me if petrol is the only blue that the Spy has ever been made in? I've heard that there has also been a darker blue colour. Any truth in that?

:flower:

I believe petrol is the only blue color ever produced for the Spy.

I really hope someone gets that Petrol at 5th Ave, I have that color and I can say that it is absolutely TDF.
