Fendi Spy Bag

Hey Sue!!! I've been lurking here for a while too, but saw such a lackage of mini Spys that I thought I should contribute mine for everyone's viewing pleasure!

I actually liked the Spy way before the Paddy, but I got sidetracked and decided to splurge on the Paddy instead. I didn't intend to get the spy, let alone the mini. Then I saw this white one IRL, and touched it, and swung it around in my hand... and I was sold! Viewing it online definitely doesn't do it justice!

Now I'm broke, but still absolutely intent on finding the violet/ blue tulle spy.. IT'S SO GORGEOUS! And nothing can beat the design of the regular, I totally agree. Which one are you planning to get.. if at all?

Ooh, the violet/blue tulle spy sounds fab! Is it a past season one? Where can I see pics of it? I'm so new to the Spy. I only started to think about it when Ceejay had hers in the Marketplace. But I saw her new pics and they are dark blue. I think u mentioned on tPF that it was quite dark IRL and that put u off. I thought her's would be like Nicole Rich's but apprently that one is a green. The green one would be nice but I think I'll stick with safe colours if I do end up getting one - honey or cognac. One qn.. y'know those spikey things on the handles, they're not sharp or rough are they? Coz I have some frilly fine silk tops and I'm afraid it will snag on those spikey bits. But if I do get one it won't be until about July at this stage... until I can make a trip to Sydney and have a lookies for myself. I'll be scouring Melbourne in the meantime to see if I can find one or go up to someone who has and ask if I could fondle their bag, lol!

Sometimes Neiman if they have a bag from "last season" will have this lower price on it. However, I don' t think that they catagorize black by season, since it is timeless.

Thanks, it did look beat up....that is how all the stock is at NM lately. It probably was from last season. So the Cheapest spy in any color would be 2075? Thanks again!

I was wondering if anyone could help me on prices? I saw a spy at Neiman Marcus for 1875...I think, but it was def in the 18-1900 price range. It is was in a brown tan leather, not sure of the color exacty. Does anyone know which spy this is? I am looking for the least expensive spy bag in black. Would that be 2075? Or is there a cheaper black spy? Thanks so much!!!!

Hi, I got my Cognac at NM about 6 wks ago and it was 1980.. The weird thing was it is a 2006/1 bag made of the new leather ( the new shiny leather with the finish). However, when I bought it they didn't have any of the spring leather bags in yet so they could have still been marking them with last years prices. Mine was new stock and not a return. So it depends I guess on which season bag or how smart your NM is to the new prices. It is still possible to still get them for less at NM.

I have been referring to ebay for prices and anything that seems real is priced at 2500 +. I have not been able to find many online, the few that I did find were 2075 or more.

kip - nice satchel. i don't know of anything else besides Apple Guard (or Vectra?). there must be something equivalent you can get in Asia... so many spy users over there (in HK anyway)!

bagqueen - which one did you get, honey or white? did your heart skip a beat when you first opened it? IMO if the bag does not make you gush right away it may not be worth keeping, especially for the wisteria price.

I purchased the wisteria in cognac. I love it, but am trying to figure out if the price is worth it and will it be out in a year or two. It is a beautiful bag.

hi, sandra, i think the fendi spy that you saw for $1875 was the fendi spy satchel which a smaller version of the regular spy with a zipper closure instead of the compartmental flap closure. the spy satchel retails for $1895 at fendi while the regular spy is $2075. at the dept stores, i guess neimans and bloomies spy's are $1980 (like jacobsgirl's) and saks is $2075. the petrol i bought from saks was $2075 ...fendi gals, pls feel free to correct me if any of the info i've posted is incorrect-thanks.... hope this helps

^the satchel price was stated on this thread (somewhere near the beginning) as $1895. the regular spy (leather) as $1980 or $2075 depending on where you buy it. i was questioning the why the diff in price for the regular spy-perhaps the seasonal colors (spring vs. fall for 2005) which i needed verification on

^ Regarding prices, the Spring line minimum for Nappa Leather Spies has been $2075 - 2080. Just last week I saw one at NM for $1980, but it must have been purchased by the company last Fall. The "conductor stripe" (blue/white) is canvas, and therefore less, at $1520.

gucci, thanks for directing us to the pics of SJP carrying her python! Apparently they're doing the Python in a few different color combos, as hers has red/green coloring with white, while mine has green/blue coloring with honey.

BTW, I am still waiting for NM to send me the black registration card for my python before I will carry it... It's been ordered from Italy supposedly and I've been waiting nearly a month now... There's no way I'll use the bag without it, in case I decide to resell it someday.

One more thing. If anyone's looking for a great MOISTURIZER for your cognac spy, try COACH's leather moisturizer ($8). It works well at replenishing the moisture, but it will not protect against weather. And whatever you do, don't use the COACH leather CLEANER on your Spy... just the Moisturizer!

sastchels are around $1300, depending on the leather/color. i bought the taupe/purple satchel and it ran for $1350. hologram satchel was $1500 (once drooled over this from eLuxury).

I might suggest you exchange the python you have for another one with the card already in it. I ordered a spy from saks and that card wasn't in it...and it didn't come with a dust bag...took over 3 months and I got so fed up waiting fori t...I returned it....

bc they will match your serial number with it...but I would see if you can hunt one down...and return the one you have for another.

I think the tulle is from past season. Mmmm it's amazing, pics posted! I love both the violet and the lilac-ish one, though I think the violet is more striking and more me! I have no IDEA where to find one though

Yeah the petrol one really didn't grab my attention, but the GREEN one is just amazing.. contrasting handles!! I think it's a past season colour too, the pic of it below was stolen from one of the members on this forum (I hope you don't mind! It's so pretty )

Oh and the protrusions on the handles are fine I think! It's just woven leather and I don't think they snag badly. Though I can't say for sure... my mini can only be mid arm/ hand carried.. the handles aren't long enough to fit over the shoulder like the big spy. Go forth and fondle Sue! Hahahaha.

Once again.. if anyone know where I can find a violet/ lilac tulle, please please let me know.. and also how much it is?

Kiptrip, wow!!! Soooo beautiful! Thanks for posting those. They're like works of art. The 1st one, which has that pinkish ribbon, is that the one you're referring to as the lilac-ish one? I love that one! It has a vintage look about it, like Edwardian era stuff and it's so feminine. The violet one is striking and looks fab with the pearls bits down each side. Stands out more than the lilac one coz the contrast is greater. Now I understand your desire for one of these bags! Sheesh, where have I been all this time? I should quit hanging out in the Chloe forums, lol!
