My red lipstick I got it as a gift and it comes in a "never seen before" case so I have no idea what brand it is.

Fab color with a "blue" base. Looks gorgeous though I don't wear it often since I'd look like a clown showing up at school with it on. Only wear it on special occasions. Red lipstick is so damn sexy.

Max Factor "Reel Red" is one I've gone through about 3 times... a perfect medium red with enough shimmer/gold in it to be day appropriate yet still fun for night.

I am pale with light brown hair, dark brows, blue eyes... yellowish undertones in my skin.... just to get an idea of who it may work for....... it was also pretty when my hair was dark brown...

Red is not good for me... It seems too bright, plastic and unnatural on my lips. Max I can use is light brown....

Onehotgrrl- Too dark? I always think that red lips look gorgeous on darker skin tones, especially in the richer/darker shades. Funny, isn't it? I've always liked makeup for darker tones better. If it makes you feel any better, I think the reason that I can't find a red that works for me at all is that I'm too pale.

I am asian medium skintone and I really favor Lancome's Sweet Nectar. Granted, it's not a TRUE red but it looks gorgeous and bright on me

Thats probably why the people there love me...cuz I walk around with bright colored makeup everyday anyways...If I was a guy I would definately be a dragqueen.

I love Blood Red by Trucco (It is made by Sebastian...they make Shaper Hair Spray) it is fabulous.

Up until a week ago I was platnium blonde...and this week I am very dark almost black...I am asian with very light skin.

LOL funny you should say that... I don't work for MAC anymore (I moved across the country) but I do makeup for drag shows in Provincetown now!

I may be darker than you imagine- lol.

Once I went to a make-up counter to get some advice...and all the ones they showed me looked brown! I'm sorry but red and brown are not the same color.
So I gave up. I'm the same tone as Naomi Campbell- and I've never seen her in red lipstick so now I just stick to clear gloss.

I always thought that being pale would be easy to find a match...but I see I'm wrong. Is someone like Gwen Stefani considered pale? I think she wears red lipstick extremely well.

she's pale but totally gorgeous, she can pull anything off.

i'm pale/blue-green eyes/gold brown hair but i have pretty thin lips plus i think i'm too young for red lipstick.
