Very true! My style tends to be punk-ish, but now I'm afraid to wear some of my clothes that I've had for a while. Now, I'm 20, but I still look pretty young. I wouldn't want to look like one of her wannabees. And it's not just at malls that they've taken over. They're all over the showsOriginally posted by Shahna@Dec 19th, 2003 - 4:56 pm
I agree that the head to toe punk look has got to go. A few punk like accessories are ok, as long as they are a part of your individual style. But I think the punk look looses its effect when you see 13 year olds dressed like Avril Lavigne in the mall shopping with their mothers.![]()
. I can't tell you how many times I've seen girls running around in plaid skirts/pants fishnets, boots, and a ramones tshirt at punk shows. Yeah, they have the right to have fun, but it's amusing to find them all grouped together, thinking they're hardcore for jumping like bunnies in mosh pits and then later having to be dragged out because "the mean punk guys" actually pushed them

yes btu tahts hwo they all dressOriginally posted by Christopher31@Dec 20th, 2003 - 10:19 pm
the whole sterotypical punk thing is so out (ex. fishnets, plaid, safety pins, etc.) I think the only people that still dress like that are posers. But let me tell you guys something, I went to a concert last night (the format a emo band), and all the kids that were there were dressed pretty unique and i'm really liking the way that they dress is evolving. I saw alot of kids with colorful scarves and patterned shirts, track suit jackets, also lots of tight regular blue jean levis.. .

I normally wouldn't mind except that they always brag about how unique and non-mainstream they are.
