Fish Net Shirts

depends how one wears them , clever co-ordination can make those type of tops look ok, but yes, they are not in fashion over here..

printed stretch tulle is the follow up trend from net

I agree that the head to toe punk look has got to go. A few punk like accessories are ok, as long as they are a part of your individual style. But I think the punk look looses its effect when you see 13 year olds dressed like Avril Lavigne in the mall shopping with their mothers. :innocent:
Very true! My style tends to be punk-ish, but now I'm afraid to wear some of my clothes that I've had for a while. Now, I'm 20, but I still look pretty young. I wouldn't want to look like one of her wannabees. And it's not just at malls that they've taken over. They're all over the shows  . I can't tell you how many times I've seen girls running around in plaid skirts/pants fishnets, boots, and a ramones tshirt at punk shows. Yeah, they have the right to have fun, but it's amusing to find them all grouped together, thinking they're hardcore for jumping like bunnies in mosh pits and then later having to be dragged out because "the mean punk guys" actually pushed them

I don't wear them i just see everyone else at my school wearing them expecally in the summer

soo true

iw iull ebs o happy when faux ounk si voer

Everyone where I live wore them this past summer...now the trend is finally over except for a few punk kids here and there.

I think it might look good if its worn with things that suit it, and on someone that it suits, but I don't really like them

the whole sterotypical punk thing is so out (ex. fishnets, plaid, safety pins, etc.) I think the only people that still dress like that are posers. But let me tell you guys something, I went to a concert last night (the format a emo band), and all the kids that were there were dressed pretty unique and i'm really liking the way that they dress is evolving. I saw alot of kids with colorful scarves and patterned shirts, track suit jackets, also lots of tight regular blue jean levis.. .

could look great on the right person, but so out of style now.
saw lots lots of those this past spring/summer...

punk chick is still hot on c-class shopwindows in europe :P

Your right, it is sort of indie hipster, maybe a little more modern though... I think AZ is just lacking on the times and its barely catching up with us slow folks. Im trying, bare with me haha.

Im surrounded by them too, I used to despise it, now i just think its funny. Their lemmings..

So true. I normally wouldn't mind except that they always brag about how unique and non-mainstream they are.

Hey, look at some of the stuff Galliano wore when he was a punk...he was unique...(then again he admits that sometimes he spent all week thinking about what he'd wear to go out clubbing)

I have a lace tank-top from Moschino which I think is rather fabulous but that fishnet is a bit erm...ewww...

i'm surrounded by emo also. (omaha nebraska) emo central! theyre all over the place. its either, emo kids, "punk" kids, or preppy abercrombie kids. gahhhh.

hot topic is bugging the sh*t out of me right now. marketing the video games, tv shows, and toys i played with as a child, to the masses NOW?!

thats not cool. those were part of MY generation, not to be passed on to some 8th grader who doesnt know what fraggle rock is, but thinks the tshirt looks cool.

oh well. not much i can do about it.

When they re-released carebear toys I bought a big huge one as a way recreating my childhood.

Lena, what does C-class mean?

The most punk I go is a studded Murakami & studded stilleto pumps

On another note...

Fraggle Rock, ahhh the childhood memories

i dont liek em...if its part of your style, cool... but there are so many wanna be punks in my school. I always thought that punks were cool cuz they were different then the rest. now, though, there are so many wanna bes that punks are turning into the majority.. makes me sad
