i love my havaianas too, they'r awesome to wear during the day in summer, but for a night out i wear some cute shoes or something...

I love flip flops. I wear them all the time. I have over 20 of them in different colors. I hate wearing shoes and it's always warm here in Arizona so I wear them everyday.

personally i dont mind flip flops in summer and at the beach cus they're so comfy and practical but its a real let down when you see some one wearing such a gorgeous outfit but can't be bothered to wear nice shoes and wear flip flops instead :(

Look at these Aldo flip flops, my sister has them in the black, they are so cute. 39.99. Aldo rarely has anything cool or chic, its always cheap eurotrash shoes.

I wear mine practially all summer long until it get's to cold to wear them.

Wow, I honestly don't see what the big deal is over these, we wear them all the time here in Cali. I like wearing mine when I'm just going out for a quick errand when there's no need to be stylish.

..

i <3 flip flops. i just go to old navy and get them in different colors and they complement my clothing just fine.

I was in Celine's press room the other day and I spied these Celine for Havianas flip flops, does anyone have a photo??

I live in Socal and everyone wears them year round here. esp in school. The thing is to be careful not to get them stepped on, LOL.

I guess it is considered lazy, but I live in casual Cali, soo :p
Although I only own one pair andI don't wear them as often as others.. because I have strange feet. :( It's hard to find some that fit well. I have super wide feet and a strange foot shape.

I don't understand why people think flipflops are lazy or unstylish? Sorry but i'm not going to throw closed toe hot sweaty shoes on during the summer. I find flipflops breezy. Plus I HATE socks. bleh.

Flip Flops on Fall City Streets

Hello all:
I have a pet peeve and I have to sound off about it. Bear with me please!

Why on earth would you wear flip-flops to work in the financial district of San Francisco, when the temperature is 59 degrees Fahrenheit? Why would you wear flip-flops anywhere but to the beach, or at the gym?

Flip-flops seem so intimate, so close to naked, not to mention extremely casual, that I just can't fathom wearing them anywhere where the environment is supposed to be professional. And I am a California native, so it isn't that I was brought up in the snow or something.

Anyway - does anyone agree or have another point of view? I'm just baffled today....

Perhaps she was running late & her office shoes are too painful to wear on her way to work? I don't care for flip flops either & I'm glad they're not the uniform here, but sometimes they're understandable. (Understandable, not excusable.)

I have no problem w/ flip flops, as long as they're not really raggedy. A Birkenstock Medina is the ideal chic flip flop, but those Old Navy ones are pushing it. Havainas are the most common and are acceptable.

But flip flops when the weather is below 75 degrees is insane, in my book. As much as I would love to wear my flip flops in the 50 degree weather it doesn't make sense...From a frozen-foot point of view.

I've come to just let people do what they wish when it comes to footwear. ;)

I do agree that people should obey the weather temperature a bit more when it comes to sandals.

BUT... I hate when people push the flip-flops like that. Personally, I love Old Navy flip-flops, and when it's piping hot, sometimes I throw on a pair with my shorts when I'm going to the grocery store or something...

I love flipflops and where them in the financial district of London. In fact I am so used to waring them that I ust slip them on and then realize hawway though the day i'm wearing them. I find them easy to wear but i do need some new shoes.

Flip flops are hard to let go of. I wore them until the last possible second, which was just last week. Until it got so cold and rainy here, I HAD to give them up. Didnt wanna get sick. I wasnt the only one, I see people in my class still rocking flip-flops and ballet flats, its really too cold for them now.

What meme didn't mention is that it rained here yesterday, which means that woman may have stepped in a puddle or two. Blech!

I am addicted to flip-flops..they are just so easy and comfortable to put on.
Granted they should not be worn for all occassions, but I guess as long as they are not dirty/falling apart, they'll do well on the streets.
