Formal Hairstyles Q/A for prom, wedding etc

My hair is really short and layered. I usually wear it straight down or curled under but for formal events I flip it out.

Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but... Maybe for when I graduate again?
Anyway, I think it's awesome!

Thanks, me too- obviously. Someone might might make me an avatar of it too, which would be great, I think...

I have to go to 3 weddings in the next few months. Does anyone have any ideas or pictures of hair styles? 2 weddings are very formal and I am standing up in one. I am not good at doing my hair for formal events. I wish I could, I rather spend my money on something else. Everytime I go to the salon, I must say the wrong thing because I come out with big, stiff hair!! The only time I ever had my hair style well was for my wedding. That cost $100.00, so that is not a choice for me to go back to him! I have medium length hair. The wedding I am standing up in, the bride has insisted all the bridesmaids wear thier hair up. I have been looking in all the magazines but have not found anything!! Any pics or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Prom hairstyle

In our school prom is after january. So help me find perfect hairstyle?

whatever you do, ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLICATED HAIR SPRAYED CRUNCHY GLITTERY DO. hair should look beautiful, not.. sculptural. Think shiny, soft, not hard. never hard.. lol.

my prom is in march, and i have curly hair already. im planning on getting my hair done down and wavy, maybe a nice barette holding half back, but im not sure, i still havent decided on a dress...

For my deb thing in February ( still no escort) I'm doing my hair down and straight, since it's usually curly or wavy- go with what you like and know so that throughout the night you can know you look fab :P no crunchies please- one time i saw this girl that had a beautiful dress but little pin curls with glitter all over them and they were crunchy

HELP:Hairstyles for a Formal Get-together!

Heya everyone!
I was just wondering if you'd all be able to help me find nice hairstyles for a formal get-together that I'm attending in a few weeks time. I'm opting to go with my hair up, and I've got mid-length hair at the moment. I've been looking at websites and stuff but I haven't found any particularly good ones. Has anyone seen any celebrities with good 'up'-hairstyles? Pics would be excellent!

Any of these types of hairstyles will do me fine:
Elegant but simple
Sophisticated
Unique
Sexy

Just whatever looks gorgeous will do! ^_^

Please post away... Thank you all so much.

Prom Styling

Hey all,

can you help me out and post pics of make up/hair that would be beautiful for prom. Right now i am hating the typical smokey eye, bubblegum lips, bronzed skin and crusty *** updos(like most of these barbies do up in cali) and what do you think of these-
(doesnt angela look like freaking perfection?)

Whatever you do, don't go get your hair done in an ugly princess-y updo. Personally I like hair pulled back (not up) or down. Oh and NO BODY GLITTER! I remember my prom was was one giant sea of tackiness.

I think angelas hair looks like everyday hair..but I do understand why you wouldn't want a princess-y updo.
Personally I think disheveled lady-like hair the way it was done at Nina Ricci's ss05 show would be great.

hm i like the disheveled look thanks for the advice. (btw i've worn that red dress on the bottom in green it feels like water-spectacular.)

Wedding Hairstyles?

I was wondering if maybe you guys could help... I'm looking for some half up hairstyles for a wedding I am in. If you could post some pictures that would be really helpful!!

I have medium to long hair.

THANKS!!

Maybe something like this ? A 60ies beehive with a modern twist
