Fur Scarves

I have just been looking at some on eBay, and I must say the ones with faces on give me the creeps.

it's amusing when it still looks like a real animal..
like the fox/weasel lying over that woman's back in the first post of this thread..
it makes me want to wear one though :ninja:

good offers at the moment

Saks, Macys and Neimans have fur scarves for like 20% of the real price at the moment - get down there quick ;)

My sister bought 3 yesterday, a fox (50$ reduced from $400), a mink ($80 reduced from $600) and a chinchilla ($500 redcued from $3000)

I have checked online and they are out of stock.

Incidentally if any of out UK posters want one Hockley is the place to go, a really fabulous furrier in London. They have some decent fur scarves.

The other day I bought a few fur collars from a proper vintage shop (fur galore!)
One is blonde and sits a bit weirdly but the dark one is almost like a choker which is what I wanted.

There were also I'm-basically-still-an-animal scarves there that I find the most macabre things ever and I so wanted one but I thought my mother might freek.
Another time!

I've been searching ebay for just normal scarves made of fur and they're quite rare and also quite popular.

I can't help loving fur. I have this fabulous rabbit scarf, but the ones that actually still look like animals are just gross!

I bought a supercheap fake one, and I'm having a difficult time getting it to 'lay' properly - it has nylon backing and just seems to slide off my shoulders. I think I'll need to belt it like the girl with red gloves in post #2...

I got one a few years ago but haven't worn it in months (even with the biting cold we had) but those pics makes me want to give it a try again.

Gutted!
Just got outbid on this coney (by the looks) scarf on ebay!
Oh well! *wipes tear*

I have a white one I know nothing about fur it was 5$ at a flea market it is so soft but I never wear it cause my roommate is a vegetarian and I feel awkward about it.

I think the fur scarves and capes I have been seeing are gorgeous. Damn PETA and damn guilt trips. Not pro fur, but looooooove fur on animals and unfortunately off too.

^ Have to agree there.

I've been going pretty crazy on ebay since my last sale raked in a bit of money for me.
I've bought/bidding on three or four fur scarves . . .

One of my scarves came today, it's a tippet scarf:

I don't know what fur it is - it's quite spiky. I like it.
