Stars seen in fur... Real or Faux!

peta isn't telling kelis what to wear. it is merely stating facts: wearing fur is cruel.

Elizabeth Hurley has worn real fur a lot in the past.

What about vintage fur?

I have a rabbit fur coat from my grandmother, that she gave to me before she died. It's the only thing I have of her now.

I mostly have faux fur but I'm not going to give up that coat for anyone.

Used fur is ok because you're not supporting the industry (the suffering of animals) by buying new fur. Also, it would be wasteful to throw something useful you already have away. My problem (and I think PETA's) is buying new animal products.

It's interesting that animal rights groups don't make as big a deal about celebs (and the public) wearing leather jackets, bags, and shoes. It is no different to kill an animal for leather than it is to kill it for fur.

Whilst I respect the fact we all have differing views on fur, faux, real but vintage, real and new... It really is not what I started this thread for... It was to post a collection of posts with pics of real stars in fur... which is a look I personally love!

Just wanted to see all the interesting fur looks out there... now whilst i've possibly been lax myself in posting due to time... can we please not take this thread in the direction so many other fur ones go... in a battle regarding the ethics of fur use!

Thanks WSG x

^ if you want to post pics of celebs in furs without ethical discussion, why not start the thread in the "celeb style" forum instead?

I did this like you say and I only nolticed the other day that one of the mods had moved it! But then it does not come up saying it's been moved but I can assure you this thread started life in celeb style!

They have no right to throw paint on anyone, though. Totally out of line and immature.

I don't support a group that acts like that.

peta may lack "maturity" in some of their tactics, but they don't lack disregard for precious life like much the fur/leather industry. i bet you if you saw the way animals whose leather/fur you probably wear are treated, you would agree.

Best use of fur I've seen in this thread is, Maggie Gyllenhaal in the Louis Vuitton.

I rather support ASPCA, not Peta. All their donations come from public donation and they don't try to tell people what to wear or eat.

They compared the death of chickens to the holocaust. That is disgusting and vile. After that, I can't even respect them or consider them human beings.

I support animals being treated well and not being used for fur. I only buy vintage or faux fur.
