Caroline and Chanel, need to see sooon! Why weren't the ads in US Vogue?

^It seems that the US ads are celebrity-oriented once again...GAP has always featured more models internationally (Japan, Europe, etc.) -_-

The model line up is intriguing, I feel like Anna Wintour had something to do with this.

Oh, and John Mayer is in the mens adverts, looking really good. I can scan if anyone wants it.

^His is probably my favorite celebrity ad out of all  Here's a preview from Faded Youth:

Oh,i didn't realise...I hope i get to see scans of them then:D

Went to Gap the other day, just to see the ads , saw Coco's ad and :ermm: Eddie Klint? I think, or maybe I'm confused with Uniqlo.

no more freja? or stam? :(
i think they added an edginess to gap that they needed to boost their image, but trentini and chanel iman are just boring...
and coco doesn't seem fitting at all, she is too different for a mainstream campaign like gap...

but last season, gap did have a lot of advertising...
maybe more towards the winter they will break out another campaign-
i think they did this last year, with raquel as the star, to advertise hoodies or something...
so this might not be the only campaign, there might be another one featuring different models....

The casting of this campaign already screams BORING :yuk:
I really want to see Freja or even Stam back, I agree that they gave the ads an edge ^_^

While Gap took advantage of America's obsession with celebrities for its fall "Classics Redefined" campaign, casting such US Weekly regulars as John Mayer, Lucy Liu, Selma Blair, and Forest Whitaker for the black-and-white images shot by Annie Leibovitz, for its European campaign, the retail giant went decidedly more fashion forward. Mikael Jansson was tapped to photograph the complementary European campaign that highlights iconic Gap products for fall. Amanda Harlech, Pierre Hardy, Chanel Iman, Coco Rocha, and Elettra Rossellini-Wiedemann star in the ads alongside actors like Dougray Scott and Sophie Okonedo in the campaign wearing modern Gap classics like a boiled wool jacket, a trenchcoat, a fine merino sweater, and the chunky cardigan.

Maria Carla is also in the campaign, and Eddie Klint. I picked up a 'Gap Portraits' free little booklet a few days ago.
