Thank you for the Léon clips! I can't stop watching it- I think Stansfields character is wonderful, and Natalie Portman shouldve won an oscar for her role!

Apparently,he's in Chicago with some of The Dark Knight cast and crew for Wizard world.Hope there'll be some pictures.

It would be rare to see candids of him, I hope there are some

Has anyone here seen Tiptoes (2003)
I thought it was a really nice film. Here are some screen caps.

"Carol is an artist (Kate Beckinsale), Steven trains firefighters (Matthew McConaughey). They've lived together for months and plan to marry soon, except that Steve's left out an important detail about himself and his chromosomes: his parents, twin brother, and many of his relatives are dwarfs. Carol learns this when Steve's brother Rolfe (Gary Oldman) drops by, the day after she discovers she's pregnant. Why hasn't he told her about his family? She calls on them, and they take her to their hearts. But tensions mount between the lovers as she believes he's ambivalent and angry about his family, and he thinks she's romanticizing the life and many health problems of little people. Can they get over these emotional barriers?"

Your not alone Lacroix- I think exactly the same as you! Except I love Luc Besson, so I cant say anything bad about The Fifth Element. ^_^

Tiptoes was an average film but Oldman was quite convincing in the role.
The late 90s were not all that kind to Oldman - he was cast as the villain to often, especially in American films. Although I quite liked his role in Hannibal!
I've yet to watch The Backwoods - but I'd like to think he will be offered something great in the near future! It's quite sad to think about it! The late 80s and early to mid 90s roles were truly extraordinary! I am enjoying his roles in the Batman/Potter franchises - but here is hoping a great film project will come along soon!
I'd love to see him direct again too - apparently he has a script in the works!

^ Oh that sounds interesting, it would be good to see him direct more, Nil by Mouth was good^_^ I feel like he should be offered bigger, leading man parts. But I'm glad he did Harry Potter, with Batman I'm a bit on the fence. I agree about him always playing the villian/evil character, but he did/does it so well!! At least he wasnt a romantic comedy actor, and typecast that way.

I havent seen all of Rosencranz & Guildenstern are Dead yet, but I think that was one of his best roles- very worthy of his talents!

Oh, and thank you for the karma iamthewalrus:flower: this is fast becoming my favourite thread!

Lacroix - no need to thank me! Thank u for keeping the thread active and to the rest of all of you who add comments/pictures/videos! It's all very much appreciated!
You must see Rosencranz & Guildenstern! It's funny you mention romantic comedies! Oldman has always wanted to do one! I love these two quote of his "I don't think Hollywood knows what to do with me. I would imagine that when it comes to romantic comedies, my name would be pretty low down on the list."
"I had this idea of myself as a shy, kind, sweet chap. I was working with Winona Ryder and she turned to me and said, "F@#k, man, you're really intense!" I was so shocked, I went, "What do you mean? I'm not intense, I'm sweet!" My passion and energy get mistaken for anger."
I cant choose between Old and Young Gary Oldman!!!! Thank You so much for the pictures!
I like his Batman role! He said Jim Gordon is the character which is most like him!
P.S Love Yr Avatar! I'm trying to find one for myself!
archana and Bella_Lass334 - You are now a Gary Oldman Fans! Welcome and I'm happy you are enjoying the thread!
