Well, i need to wear glasses, i like to wear glasses as lenses just plain suck and are really annoying, time consuming too. So that's why i wear thick nerd glasses, don't care if it's hot or not.

Geek glasses won't work for my face. I tried a few pairs on while visiting the optometrist today. It looks alright with certain face shapes but not mine.

I'm sick of my current glasses... I love all of your geek glasses! I could envision wearing some moderately sized ones shaped like Mademoiselle-M's. They're gorgeous!

Mademoiselle-M - those glasses look great on you! Can you tell us the name and model of the glasses?

Mademoiselle-M, I love those glasses! I doubt they'll work for my face, but they look great on you. :flower:

I want new glasses... I rather like these from Brooks Brothers:

I've been wearing my geek glasses for about half a year and I've gotten at least 10 compliments from strangers. For those who are unsure, I say go for it. As long as you pick a pair with the right colour and shape to flatter you, I don't think it looks overly trendy or ridiculous.

I decided to wear my "geek glasses" when the trend died down a bit. Wore mine over the weekend and received a lot of compliments

when my grandmother passed away she left a huge bin of old lady glasses that i popped the lenses out of and used to wear out all the time... haven't done it in a while but i'm thinking i should start again, i think it's a fun look. i don't think i 'pull it off' well very seriously, but i think they're great fun accessories as long a the rest of your outfit isn't too quirky.

Albert Maysles Eyeglasses

You know those black horn rimmed glasses you buy as reading glasses for $1 at a dollar store or the similarly priced sunglasses worn by the Blues Brothers?

Well they have always been worn by Albert Maysles, a film maker. Just got an email from Barneys saying they've just come out with a Barton Perrelra version that looks just like the original for only $350 as readers or a mere $365 as sunglasses.
