Geek Glasses

I like them and they can really suit certain people, but it has become too much of a trend and it seems that everywhere is trying to imitate them. But there are plenty of examples here where people are wearing them really well!

i love this trend. when your feeling a little gloomy or just not feeling like dressing up. i always throw on a big hoodie, scarf, skinny jeans, some keds/converse, and my oversized geek glasses and i usually look comfy but styling. i also throw my hair up in a bun.

These are mine, i've put prescription glasses in them, but I almost never were them (neither do I wear my other 'normal' glasses alot)

Terrible trend... Leggins...white-blue-striped-shirt...white shoes...nerd glasses... and we all look like the same uncreative hipster yet think we are sooo bohemian and "indie" :-D

If glases ARE NOT is this case , they can look good . :D
At least not banal ...

I've never understood geek glasses. They look so frumpy and now they're everywhere, 12 year olds are wearing them.

lol dont forget skinny jeans, american apparel hoodie plaid shirt and a fedora

I really like this look, on some people, not everyone can pull it off though. I really want to try out the trend but I think it might look really silly on me, seeing as I am no hipster!

i just bought a pair of transparent geek glasses...i have to say i do prefer the classic black ones tho

I have a pair of black ones, but I only wore them once or twice I think? They're very overdone here - not so much anymore but that's because people are getting sick of it.

I quite like properly done matte, black ones though. It looks very hot in my opinion ;)

I used to like them, but since everyone has started wearing them I cannot stand them anymore!

I'm not too keen on the look. Nearly everyone who thinks they are "individual" has a pair now, but I must admit, there are a few people out there who can pull off the look. I just don't understand why people won't just wear glasses that suit their face shape though, rather than swamping themselves in enormous glasses that take over their whole face...

I have got a pair of geeky-looking spectatcles. I have got just 1,25 dioptry so I can see without them quite ok. They are more of a fashion accessory to me.
At one point I can be pretty happy to live in Czech Republic because not many people there wear them.
But it's always funny how my aunt hates them. Every week or so she tells me that she's going to buy me some pretty brand glasses. But i just don't want 'em. The only type of glasses i like are just the geeky ones. So, if she went to the optics with me, I would choose another geeky ones. She would go crazy. I swear

Picked up another pair of vintage frames. These are from the 50's, by Tart Optical (exact model worn by Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

I really love this style! Just watch "A Single Man"," Pleasantville" or "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (just been mentioned), and other films like these. They are so inspirational. :) And yes, not everybody can pull it off. Including me, unfortunately. It's the aviator glasses that suit me. :)
