im not a big fan of that big black coat/jacket she is wearing on post 258, i feel she fits better in light/white clothes...regardless her face is still like a porcelain doll, just like what we used to call her in the past too...she hasnt changed a bit gorgeous Gemma

She IS

Not really, unless you follow fashion, or it's a slow news day during this current fashion week and Gemma ends up on TV or a newspaper/website.

Are you kidding me?? Everybody knows who Gemma Ward is in Australia, I have several Australian friends who DON´T follow fashion at all and they know her face and her name. She´s done theater plays, movies and extensive modeling so in Australia, especially since her comeback, she is featured lots of time on TV, gossip mags, editorials and she is the most famous Australian supermodel after Elle Mcpherson, it´s like asking British people if they know Kate Moss, come on.

I'm not Australian but I also know quite a lot of people who might not know Gemma's name but they definitely recognise her face. I imagine a lot of non-fashion followers are like that.

I'm from Australia and I can tell you unless you are into fashion no one knows who she is. I've mentioned her to quite a few people recently and the best i've is a vague "oh yeah maybe I know who she is". She's not even close to the household name that Elle is.

Are you from Australia? This is nowhere near the truth. Gemma's plays were small scale and in her hometown, the Black Balloon was an independent film that not many people have seen, her roles in things like Gatsby and Pirates have all been no-name background filler parts.

I like her as a model, though unless you follow fashion, or read her numerous interviews (and then look her up on Google to even know who Gemma is) where she brings up Heath Ledger over, and over, and over and over again, then no - not well known.

Kate moss and Elle McPherson are famous because they're supermodels. The general population doesn't even know who Gisele is, let alone anyone from after the early 2000's.
