New York’s PYTs and the film’s stars aside, there was some serious competition, in the form of other celebrities in attendance—what with Clarkson, Bette Midler, Josh Lucas, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Alec Baldwin, The Sopranos’s Christopher Moltisanti, not to mention models Liya Kebede, Gemma Ward, and Bridget Hall—that had more than one guest comparing it to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. While some concentrated on the film, others paid closer attention to the guests themselves. “I’m Woody’s biggest fan! I can’t believe how near him I am,” said Ward, a self-professed movie buff, while Fanjul Pfeifler simply declared, “Josh Lucas is hot.”
