General Dior Questions

FYI: It is easy for counterfeit bag makers to duplicate serial number on a fake bag...Ive seen it done several times...especially if its on EBAY...just put it this way looks too good to be true, then its probaby a fake...if it retails for $595 and you are getting it for $200 then its a FAKE....there are way to many fake bags around these days some people even have the nerve to include a fake cert of authenticity or an authenticity card....Just Beware... its difficult to be sure unless you are purchasing from a boutique or department store

So true please try to buy from a boutique or athorized retailer of Dior because you can't always trust ebay

Too true, for me thats the only option. I only buy Vintage designer bags from Ebay. Not everyone can go to a store and shell out 300-600 on a designer bag. I did advise her to simply save up and go to the shop. I said i would get some info for her - Thats all i can do :innocent:

My brother just bought me a Dior Boston Bag. I've been dying for one and he bought if off eBay from a seller who guaranteed authenticity. It came with papers, serial #, rhinstone lock. The seller seemed pretty legit BUT the bag is NOT fabric like I had thought it'd be? I even called up eLuxury, and the rep told me some of the girly bags, or even the Dior bags are made of coated canvas but would not tell me if the Boston bag is jacquard fabric or coated canvas which is more of like a plasticy feel, isn't it?

Anybody know the difference and willing to share with me? I'd feel awful if my brother got ripped off because he was so happy getting it for me BUT if it's fake, I want to return it. And unfortunately, I'm in a smaller city with no Dior stores nearby to validate the authenticity.

Thanks!

All of the girly bags I've seen is fabric, not coated anything...

has a distinct texture to it and everything.

Along the lines of Dior bags....I called up eLuxury today to inquire about their girly line. The rep told me some of the Dior monograms are made with "coated canvas" and others are "fabric".....which is the Girly Boston Bag made of?

My brother did a nice thing and bought me the bag off eBay from a seller who guarantees authenticity but none of my Dior bags are this coated canvas.....she wouldn't even tell me if the serial # on my bag is authentic.

Any help??

Hi, first time posting here. =)

Anyways, my question is are all real Dior Pink Girly Boston Bag suppose to have 4 protective feet on the bottom of the bag?

Yep thats true im afraid. All the Dior boston bags i know (including my own) are canvas and its really soft too. :flower:

well, i send my question to www.dior.com and this is wut i got:

In response to your recent inquiry, please note that the "Girly" Collection bags don't have stands on the bottom, but the "Trotter" collection provides pink and white bags with stands on the bottom.

wut does it mean?? im so confused

Do you think this is real or fake?

Snootsie - how did you email a question to Dior from their website? I couldnt find the link.

Also, that Dior Girly Bag is fake becasue it doesnt have the four metal feet at the bottom AND the zip puller on the outside is the wrong shape. Its not meant to be rectangular. :flower:

Oh, what shape is the zipper suppose to be then??

You can contact dior.com in the contact section
Just go here and click contact

I don't get it. Dior told me that all "Girly" Collection bags don't have stands on the bottom and I even personally live chat with eluxry.com and they said the same thing...that they're not suppose to have metal feet on the bottom

Thanks for the link!

The zip puller on the outside of the Dior Girly bag is meant to be like a leaf shape, not rectangular and the inside zip puller is not meant to be rectangle either.
Im quite confused what they mean about "stands" because i have an authentic Dior Girly boston bag you're talking about and it does have the metal feet on the bottom to keep the bottom canvas clean.
Maybe they meant not every bag in that collection has "metal feet?" :flower:

The Dior Girly Boston bag is not made from coated canvas, its really soft and gets dirty easily

I don't know about any other styles, but I have a Lady Dior (the longer, studded one) and it has serial numbers - they are on the back of the small leather flap, inside the bag.

Authentic definitely do have protective metal feet on the bottom.

and here is what the zipper-pull should look like:

Thank you for the detail photos of the Girly bag. I had no idea they were so cute. Normally I hate and despise logo stuff, but I actually really like this bag.
