Givenchy F/W 2025.26 Paris

You compare a velvet couture dress with a RTW dress made in Jersey…

And doing it in white and not an imperfection at sight... and the bottom part doing its thing without any structural support inside. The burton dress seem a lot less forgiving than an all black velvet dress.

The logo pieces were definitely un-needed. And im not surprised to see a scrub dress just for the heck of it. She has done this type of ending with a totally unconnected big dress before.

Waiting for the detail shots, seems so many things we missed in the show like the backs of the dressess and tailored pieces.

not a fan of the dresses, but i really like the leather pieces (especially the pants). im glad the bags are more understated than usual and not the usual trashy and covered in grossly outdated monogram one would expect from giv

A decent debut, best Givenchy has looked in years but not sure that is good enough. There’s enough here to get the brand a lot of media coverage and celebrity placements but it’s all pretty shallow and similar to a lot already out there - Phoebe Philo, Dior, Raf, Schiaparelli, her own work at McQueen. The suits were all God-awfully bulky.

Beautiful accessories.

It got me interested enough but a lot of work to do to get to excitement.

And people wanted her at Dior  This collection sums up her approach to “fashion”: directionless, insipid, zero l’air du temps, overdesigned, heavy, uninspired, boring…

She should be at most at a studio as a senior designer.

Also, funny how some of it looks like a Dior by Raf copy from a 3rd rate designer.

when those are your opening and closing looks… you can burn both plus all the other fishnet looks and equally tulle ones.
the tailoring is pristine as one was already expecting and the embroidered pieces were actually beautiful and perhaps the most Givenchy of all of them.

the shoes were good!

that being said, it was rather underwhelming but at least we had the presence of Vittoria, Eva, Malgosia, and Elise.

The opening look felt so much like a MGC Dior gimmick...
This was my first thought when I saw the show !

Well it is quite and underwhelming debiut but she is great tailor and some of the looks are just elegant and timeless but they’re disappearing in a sea of questionable, very odd choices…well, looking for menswear and what will she do there as, frankly speaking, there’s no „Givenchy guy” archetype so she can freestyle.

Overall collections is 50:50, she can do better !

Overall a fabulous collection. Still her exquisite tailoring but with what feels like a more feminine touch. Bravo, I can’t wait to see the men’s!

There are some beautiful outfits like the embroidered and tailored ones, ugly stuff like the tulle ones and lots of questionable looks all over the place. I don't expect her to be a very good designer but her McQueen was much better than this.
