Givenchy S/S 1998.99 Paris

Not his finest moment. I have always found it tacky and dated. His collections for Givenchy often lacked cohesion, precision and looked like costume shows. It was not a good tenure. At least he used the Givenchy money well and learned more sophisticated techniques.

I feel like Lee had walked in the realm of Gaultier here, without the street energy and the multicultural charms unfortunately.

I love seeing this because it reminds me that even some of the most talented people you gush over have made mess and mistakes too. And it's okay!
