Givenchy S/S 2015 Paris

Incredibly dated, come on, he is far better than this!!! And i HATE that venue, too close!

I am positively surprised by this because it does feel like something Tisci would have done in his 2008/2009 heydays. That being said, I wish some of the clothes didn't look so costume-y and that the collection was elevated even more with the use of embellishments and a larger variety of fabrics.

But I'm sure it will sell like crazy.

this feels like a best-of of his previous work... only worse.
there are some interesting looks - i especially LOVE this one, http://imgbox.com/TWQL3xZK , saw the back in the livestream and it's amazing - and some very pretty dresses, but overall i'm not very impressed.

That was nothing but a rehash of everything he did from 2008 to 2010. Not a single thing new. Absolutely shameless.

But I guess that was expected since he literally spent the last two months partying in Ibiza.

I know it is a rehash of previous collections but I LOVE IT!!!!!!
His last fall/winter collection was superb ... this one is very close! :flower:

I enjoyed watching this collection.
I love to see the tigh highs boots back. But this is relatively too dark for spring/summer, little touches of colors wouldn't have been too much, this looks too fall for my taste, especially with all the leather. I'm sure we'll see a lot of this collection on a lot of celebrities.

I feel like I've already seen this gladiator-leather fringe dress somewhere, sometime, but I can't remember when and where : http://media.style.com/image/fashio...aris/givenchy/collection/452/678/_MON0346.jpg ?

this looks horribly uninspired. i guess he's too busy being fanboy to kanye to really care about making astounding work anymore.

I don't mind that it was a rehash of his older 2008-2010 collections cause I loved those years  and I love the thigh high boots with the same heel/wedge detail he used in his previous fall collection. I do wish he'd done some longer dresses but that's a very small complaint.

the livestream was TERRIBLE to watch, could not see any look properly and the camera angle changing every 2 seconds. not good at all, hopefully they will adjust that for the video :\

Is the Gladiator trend making a comeback? Chloe also presented shoes in the same vein...

I love the use of leather and the b&w stripped fabrics. Love the shape of the dresses and the coats.

Decent collection, the jackets are interesting -_- :woot:

Love this look:

It was cool in 2008, now it's dated, done to death and uninspired.

Riccardo went back to his roots and came up with a beautiful collection. Loved the combination of hard and soft fabrics, it felt very effortless and elegant.

its not bad but its incredibly dated as others have said very 2008/early 2009.

I guess the major reason why I enjoy this collection is because it is very resistance to his last few years. I do agree that is nothing exactly new but a lot of it is very Tisci.

This is the Ricardo I liked so I am very happy to see his earlier style return full force. He became so consumed with selling some sweatshirts that I thought of him as nothing more than a glorified graphic tee seller with famous friends, not the designer with sensual, hard edged, gothic collections. This was a reminder of how good he used to be.
This collection was far from original - mixing lace and leather is a far cry from ingenuity and he has even done the bleached eyebrows before - but it was superbly done and after the insipid street style collections he has been regurgitating for seasons now this is beautiful.
