Glee

I was able to catch it after all... and boyyyy what an episode!

Loved how they incorporated the musical into the episode. And loved how the new character so shamelessly wanted to get it on with Blaine.

For any Australians... If you noticed that during the first Kurt and Blaine scene in Blaine's bedroom there was this weird delay/jump, that was because they censored/cut out a (a few?) lines in there. I had already watched the episode online and the lines cut were favourites of mine so i noticed straight away.

It was suppose to go:

Kurt: Have you ever had the urge to rip off each others clothes and get dirty?

Blaine: Uhh yeah, that's why they invented masturbation.

Kurt: It's so hot in this room, can we open up a window?

The bolded is what they censored. So yeah....

Quite possibly the best episode they've done to date and as far as I'm concerned it's absolutely down to the fact that they used West Side Story to mould the story round. Personally I don't think they've done many better numbers than the recent WSS ones (though can't get on board with the Jets being in America), this epi and in the ones prior (Big fan of Rachel's two Funny Girl numbers & her Chorus Line one in previous series though). There were some really nice touches in there though, loved the little cameo in bar, and the Coach Bieste thing was really sweet too.

TOTALLY loved the episode, not only for the fact of the situations that happened in the room, but for the fact that it was soooo well directed and written, the blending of the songs with real life stories was wonderful and OMG Blaine is just Incredible!

i was expecting more for the "sex scenes"
i mean i know its a tv show and stuff, but they built it up to be something amazing and all we got was cuddling and a few kisses ?

"When Cory and I were doing our scene, the crew came up to us and they were like, 'Look. We just want you to know that Darren and Chris were really hot. They went for it.' So I was like, 'Listen, Monteith. We've got to do better than them. We've got to turn these people on! And we have to top those boys!' Poor Cory. But it was great. It really was."

I dont know if I was watching another show or what but I saw NOTHING like what they made it out to be like :ermm:

i know that, but they made it a point that this was going to be a big thing and a big part of the episode and they dont even show anything?

im not trying to make a deal out of it, and i should have expected disappointment because this is glee afterall, but if youre going to hype something up at least give something more than what they did ?

hahah exactly^

With all this viewer discretion I was sure they were going to show some scenes of you know what. But of course it's Fox not HBO. I guess laying in a bed holding hands really hypes it up lol.

I wasnt expecting some True Blood type of sex scene, but something at least
season 3 is serving as a disappointment... if this show wasnt so popular i would say its nearing the end but like thats going to happen..

I knew the plot but I never expect anything, just sit back and let the chips fall where they may. The sex was certainly not my primary concern with this episode anyway. I was more worried about them screwing up West Side Story, which, lack of Robbins choreography (how they ever got that passed the Robbins estate I'll never know) and the random Jets in America (I'm letting the fact they used the movie version slide) they didn't. Actually, Lea has rarely sounded better.
I have to say I was really impressed with the fact that they treated both the heterosexual and homosexual relationships equally. Time was, and not that long ago, that wouldn't have even been on TV.

One of the best episodes of the show, imo. Great writing and directing. Even though I don´t like WSS I was never bored.

I was watching with my bf and he was wondering if they were going to show something sex related... I said no way, they´re going to fade to black or fade to fireplace. And voilá, they faded to fireplace LOL

My favorite song of the episode is 'a boy like that'! Amber and Lea did a great job :heart:

i was a little bit disappointed with this season so far but this episode was just great!

I LOVED the ep, too! I was also wanting a bit more from the love scenes but the build up was good and it was all romantic. And WSS is my fave musical, so I was in heaven the whole ep with the music!

I agree that this show seems to be losing it.
Was anyone else disappointed with the whole Finn/Rachel ending this week? It seemed like Rachel was just trying to make Finn feel better with her 'offering'. I didn't feel that it was very romantic. Blaine and Kurt were super adorable though!

Songs from Ep. 6

  • Rumor Has It / Someone Like You
  • I Can't Go for That / You Make My Dreams
  • Hit Me with Your Best Shot / One Way or Another
  • You and I / You and I
  • Hot for Teacher

Im disappointed with these songs.. I was expecting more out of the Adele songs, especially Someone Like You -- this version is really disappointing.

You and I could be better, but its still okay I guess :ermm:

guess the episode will be as disappointing as the songs

btw, i read that the ratings for the show have gone down a bit but the dvr ratings is whats keeping it up there

at first listen i didn't like the song, but now i can't stop listening to it, absolutely love it.
don't care about the other songs too much though. i still need to watch the last few episodes, i'm a bit behind:ninja:

the Rumor Has it/Someone like you mashup is pretty good. Everyone keeps posting on fb saying it's glee's best song
