Golden Globes 2009

Sorry can't stand her. She's been in like two movies and eveyone kisses her a**. Emmy is the worst of the two.

On New Year's my friends and I tried to name their movies and only came up with one for Emmy and two for Camilla.

Blake isn't like the best actor out there but she's not that bad. I think it's just because she gets more press than Leighton and that makes fans mad.

Oh I thought you ment fashion wise! I was like Camilla has great style! But I agree she's not such a good actress. I enjoy looking at her more than listening/watching her in movies. :flower:

Anne had a great dress but it was ruined with her hair up and the red nails/lipstick. Reminds me of her look at the '06 GG's.

Sorry I don't like her style either but I will give her props for her JPG at the 2007 Costume Gala. That was stunning.

i just saw people's best dressed list, and it is pretty much everyone on my worst dressed list, minus a few like maggie g. who actually should be on a best dressed list

Some of the best speeches for those who missed the show -

British comedian Ricky Gervais was the first to break up the audience, which he attempted to silence by saying, "Shhhush! How rude you lot are, just because you are film stars."

He then went on to make fun of his lack of a Globe nomination – and his attempt to get one. "That's the last time I have sex with 200 middle-age journalists," he said of the Hollywood Foreign Press, who give out the Globes. "Europeans with wispy beards. And the men were worse."

About best supporting actress winner Kate Winslet, Gervais quipped, "What did I tell you, Winslet – do a Holocaust movie ("Like "The Reader), win an award … That's the trouble with Holocaust films: There's no gag reel on the DVD."

Later, 30 Rock star Tracey Morgan got the crowd to roar when the NBC show was named best comedy series. "Tina Fey and I had an agreement," he said. "If Barack Obama won, I would speak for the show from now on. Welcome to post-racial America!"

Soon afterwards, Fey had her own turn to speak, as the best leading actress in a series comedy. "I've always loved the Hollywood Foreign Press," she said of the group that hands out the Golden Globes. "As a kid, I had all the Hollywood Foreign Press action figures."

Fey, whose career year included her spot-on impersonation of former GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, went on to say, "If you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet. You can find a lot of people who don't like you." She then listed several screen names of her online critics and told them each to "suck it." (I didn't know anyone hated Tina. She ROCKS).

And Alec Baldwin saying he felt old as he remembered giving Rumer Willis juice boxes on set.

I agree completely, she's one of those young actresses that has never had a memorable part on anything and seems to be at every party, every premiere promoting God-knows-what.

Drew Barrymore's look was the most refreshing of the night. I liked that she did something very different but not tacky. Loved Cameron as well.

I would say all the ladies, accept Drew, look lovely, some elegant, some more sexy, others chic and stylish. But the best dresses woman for e was Jennifer Lopez. She looked GODDESS. Amazing and just perfect.
