Just a theory but perhaps many of the stars skipped the red carpet because of the other big event going on in the world. Maybe they want to go for a more sensitive tone.

I love Zoe Saldana's, Drew Barrymore's, Olivia Wilde's, and Jennifer Garner's dresses!

^I was deeply moved as well by Monique's speech. I almost shed a tear. I am SO happy she won! SUCH a powerful performance! She deserved every centimeter of that award, and the Oscar she will receive next month.

I'm disappointed - I was hoping I'd adore at least one look, but I don't feel anything stronger than liking Marion and Zoe look nice, not terribly exciting but good. Chloe looks great and IMO Diane does as well, I like the decision to go with something bold and well, Lacroix Couture, what can I say

I did notice that most of the women wearing pins for Haiti relief (Penelope, Nicole) are wearing more pared down looks. I think Penelope looks stunning. Her dress is sleek and minimalist, but has the just right amount of detail. And her makeup and hair is SUPERB. She looks every inch the movie star.

Nobody has blown me away. They all look OK. Nicole Kidman's dress looked especially good on TV.

She is under-dressed.I like her heels though.

! Glenn Close, one of my favorite actresses, lost! But she looks fantastic! Love her strapless beaded number. I'm guessing it is Armani, who she wears a majority of the time.
