EDIT: thank you for all of the pictures you two. the one in #1145 is lovely. although i dont care much for the dress, it is a beautiful color. and i love any picture from high society, i just enjoyed her wardrobe so much

Now, that is a damn good question. It is most likely an illustration of a photo already taken. In the 50s, they most likely did not have the means to do a straight up graphic photo like that.
