I would like to know what my australian grading would be compared to the UK system for bachelor degrees in university.

Because in Australia:

50-64% = Pass
65-74% = Credit
75-84% = Distinction
85-100% = High Distinction

Which ones of these above are the same to the UK system of:

1:1
2:1 honours
2:2
3:1
etc...

Could someone explain please?:flower:

I found this for the UK system, but is it harder in the UK than Australia, which means are the percentages the same?

UK system:
  • 1: best possible grade, excellent (around 80% and above)
  • 2: above average grade, very good (around 70% and above)
General level
  • 3: average grade, satisfactory (around 60% and above)
  • 4: below average grade (around 50% and above)

Generally:

Class 1 - 70+
Class 2i - 60-69
Class 2ii - 50-59
Class 3 - 40-49
Fail - 0-39

Extra category for pass without honours at some universities and some degrees remain unclassified (eg MB BChir)

^ But is that the same comparison?

E.g. Let's say in Australia I got 65 average which is credit. Does that mean I got a 2:1?
